“Lots of food, but left a bit unfulfilled”
Reviewed 10 February 2013

Four of us had dinner here on the recommendation of new friends from BA. We ordered four starters and four mains (nearly half of the menu). We could have stopped with the starters. The portions are ample. The menu is well constructed and the meals are visually pleasing, but in several cases the kitchen failed to execute with well prepared and tasty dishes. For example, my lamb shank was a thing of beauty, but it needed at least another hour of cooking time. I couldn't cut the meat off the bone (let alone have it fall off in my fork). The carpaccio again was large and beautiful, but there were too many favors on the plate overpowering the delicate beef. Maybe it was a bad night, but the kitchen needs quality control to ensure this great menu is delivered properly to the table.

“charming and delicious”
Reviewed 28 January 2013

We went for New year's eve....we booked through "restorando" which is like open menu. There was a set tasting menu for the evening, and we went for it, including the wine pairings. It was all excellent. Walking distance to our apartment and with very charming and attentive staff. Lovely alternative to some of the touristier spots.

“Decent, nice little restaurant”
Reviewed 18 November 2012

Inspite of the mixed reviews we decided to go and have dinner anyway. I must say it was everything but mediocre. The food was excellent, fresh, good portions.
We had an entree, a main course, coffee and a glass of wine for about €60, which is I think not at all overpriced. The waitresses are very friendly and extremely helpful. It is a pity that the restaurant is ranked 339 out of 1453. Just go an try, you will not be disappointed.

“A perfect place found randomly”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

Frankly speaking, we were looking for a different restaurant that night, but it was closed, so we went to Demuru, where the staff was really friendly and spoke very good English (really rare in Buenos Aires!). The only dippsapointment was the tasting menu - they don't serve it unless everyone at the table orders it. Apart from this one thing, everything was just perfect: all the courses were delicious, and the desserts were breathtaking.

“Great food and ambiance, full of locals”
Reviewed 29 April 2012

We had walked by this place several times in our strolls around Palermo and noticed its delightful ambiance and the always full house. Figuring that was a good sign we ventured in for dinner tonight and were not disappointed. This is a "local" joint and it has a fairly limited menu and a few specials. We enjoyed everything from the amuse to our appetizer, entrees and desert. Really interesting and savory food and different from the typical parilla or pasta experience. Its quite a cute, romantic spot and our service was great. Our waiter's english was better than our spanish and he went out of his way to explain the dishes. Unlike some other BA spots, these folks are not trying to hook good reviews or tourist business, this is an authentic local restaurant doing what they do best and doing it well.
