What a delight for the eyes is through the doors of this hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside but as soon as you are buzzed in, a delight to the eyes awaits the charming and funky decor that fits in with nearby Caminito in La Boca. Taxis can be called for by the front desk and walking is easy though maps were not available so bring your own. San Telmo market on Sunday is very close and a must see plus easy walking distance to a number of sites. We had a leaky toilet that was a minor inconvenience. Beds were very comfortable and the shower pressure was great!

This hotel is in the San Telmo district and is just a short walk from Plaza de Mayo, one of the main tourist attractions in Buenos Aires.

The room was clean and functional if a little on the small side. The decoration, full wall murals, was certainly different from any other room I've ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and we slept quite well.

The staff were extremely helpful. They organised our transfer from the airport for us (which was very reasonably priced) so that when we arrived we were met by someone holding a sign with our name. They also arranged a half day city tour which was very enjoyable and again well priced. When we asked about getting a taxi to Puerto Madero they advised us to save our money and walk, giving us simple, clear directions.

This really is a nice hotel, in an interesting area with excellent staff. While the decor will not be to everyone's taste, it is something that will linger in the memory. Passing a figure Eva Peron as you walk upstairs, and having Maradonna sitting in the breakfast room with you is memorable.

All in all, this is a winning combination and I can thoroughly and whole-heartedly recommend this rather zany hotel.

The hotel is definitely quirky, but we absolutely loved it, loved San Telmo and would stay here again without question. A different mural on every bedroom wall and various "figures" dotted around the place (Maradonna, Che Guevara plus others) added to its charm plus it is excellently positioned for sightseeing in BA. We walked to Caminito (La Boca) which you MUST visit, Puerto Madero (didn't do it for us, but perhaps you should go in the evening), the Central sights and never tired of San Telmo's Plaza Dorego with its restaurants, cafes, market, and regular tango displays.. The beds were very comfy, shower good, breakfast was great (esp considering it cost less than £20 per room with the blue exchange rate) and front desk were always extremely helpful. Several evenings we shared a bottle of excellent Malbec (around £2) on the roof terrace before going out for dinner. Stay here (unless you want a plush, sterile, hotel)!!

I chose this hotel due to the outrageous hotel prices at other locations. The Good - the hotel is in a convenient BA location fairly close to many areas and Internet and wifi are offered free; the breakfast buffet is more than adequate. The Funny - the hotel décor is somewhat interesting, numerous figures are located throughout the hotel and each room is decorated in a tango theme. The Not So Good - the hotel room is small, the beds smaller and the mattress leaves a lot to be desired. Do not exchange money at the hotel as you get the low official rate; however the staff is very friendly and accommodating and will book cheap taxi service.

Room Tip: BA is expensive so this place offers a decent deal.

Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful upstairs deck, affordable laundry, and easy bookings for local tango shows made this a wonderful stay in Buenos Aires. I loved the unique artwork--murals in the rooms and statues of Argentine figures placed throughout the hotel. The breakfast buffet got a little old after a week, but it was sufficient. Also, it very nice to have access to a microwave in the dining area 24 hours when I needed to heat leftovers for lunch or dinner.

I stayed for a week and the hotel staff was very helpful in resolving a booking issue that Hotels.com would not. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a clean, safe, comfortable, convenient, affordable, and interesting place to stay in Buenos Aires.

staff helpful, 2 computer for guests, excellent breakfast, cozy and colorful room and when you go around in the hotel, you can see a funny boca better than the touristic Boca zone. We enjoyed the nice and relaxing terrace on top durign the hot summer. If you need, you can make washing machine for 20 pesos. San Telmo is charming neighborhood full of good restaurant. Try the real empanadas in the genuine small shop at the left corner between Chacapuco and Indipendencia, 3 minutes walk from the hotel

Choose a hotel in Buenos Aires for a long time. Chose the hotel Ayres Portenos Tango Suita for three reasons:
This hotel has its own style;
Extremely convenient location;
Price per room is not too big.
This is true. Stylish hotel, located well - a 10-minute walk to Prezidet Palace, return to the hotel in the evening can be through the main streets of the city. At the same time, the place is quiet.
Price match, in cash are discounted.
The staff are friendly, willing to help with the taxi. Well versed in English.
Internet is slow.
Breakfast is normal for a hotel in this price category.
All in all - five.
