The design of this hotel is well thought out and executed flawlessly. We have never experienced a hotel like this one and will never forget it. It is very chic, modern and unique. We felt like we were staying in a private club of sorts. Many things are not noticeable but are key. The final construction of the furniture and bed had to be completed inside the room. There is a handmade wood and steel door really only there because it is art just made to be there. The bathroom sink and shower were amazing.
The breakfast was in the same exclusive "club" type setting Very simple tasty and complete. I almost felt bad taking something off of the serving plate because it changed the geometrics of the plaiting.
Yes it is dark, as others have noted in reviews BUT that is part of the mood, tone and ambiance. To add harsh light would ruin a piece of the design that has so thoughtfully been placed. As I spent more time there I would notice things I had missed. The wall with cascading water by the fully stocked bar...the glowing blue granite table by the pool...This hotel is a piece of art. The service of the staff was excellent.

For its price point, I couldn't imagine finding a better hotel in Buenos Aires. It was comfortable, hospitable, chic and right in the middle of all the action. I'm from NYC and this neighborhood has such a downtown vibe it's like East Village meets Williamsburg meets SoHo (add a dash of Latino sexiness). Prodeo Hotel is in the middle of all this action and somehow the rooms are as quiet as a mouse. Breakfast was very good, bilingual receptionists were very helpful, the bar/lounge is fully stocked, and the pool was refreshing. Gracias!

Room tip: Confirm the room stays as dark as night all day.

I have stayed in several Buenos Aires hotels and so far this is my favorite. It's stylish and modern in the communal spaces and comfortable and clean in the rooms. The staff is helpful and the location is perfect, just a few blocks from Palermo's main plaza with tons of bars, restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself has everything you need, a bar, pool, a great breakfast, hot food menu, room service, etc. etc.

We chose to stay here for the last few days of our three week South America trip based on other good reviews we had read. It sounded like good value and the location was excellent. But I can't say we enjoyed this hotel as much as other travelers. Firstly, the hotel is very dark, even the reception area but especially the rooms - I love the sun and light, airy rooms, so this didn't suit us at all.
Also, when we checked in, the first room we were given smelt strongly of cigarette smoke - we had asked for non-smoking. The hotel changed the room for us, but it was a bad first experience. The staff at the hotel did always try to be helpful, but a couple of times they gave us the wrong advice, including in relation to changing money, which wasn't good. The breakfast was delicious though. Overall, I never felt comfortable in this hotel and on that basis I wouldn't recommend it.
