“Nice Boutique Hotel in Palermo Hollywood”
Reviewed 29 March 2013

Spent three nights at the hotel with teenage kids. The front desk personnel were all great, before and during our stay, answering questions, making reservations, etc. The rooms were nice, comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The location is very good...quiet but close to restaurants (there are lots of great ones in Palermo) and the subway. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who appreciates a smaller boutique hotel.

Had an amazing experience with this hotel. Spent 2 nights here with my boyfriend in Buenos Aires. The concierge staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and always knew the best restaurants and attractions. The hotel itself was beautiful. Rooms were amazing and comfortable. Food in the hotel was really delicious. Great location in the heart of Polermo.
On our last day we checked out of the hotel around 11am, but our flight out was not till 10:30pm. To kill time, my boyfriend went to a polo class out of the city and I went shopping during the day. We planned to meet back at the hotel at 5pm and head to the airport. Unfortunately it started pouring rain and the city was flooded. I made it back to the hotel by 5 and had no way of contacting my boyfriend. Turned out he was stuck outside of the city because of the flooded highways. The hotel really made this experience a positive one. They called a cab, let me shower and use a room while I waited for my boyfriend to show up. They kept in contact with the polo class. One of the concierges' shift ended but he stayed to make sure we got to the airport safely. We ended up making our flight and getting home safe.
The staff here went above and beyond.
Really appreciative.
Definitely recommend this place.

Super boutique hotel, located in the heart of happening Polermo.

The rooms are interesting--fun interior design--large and clean
The people at the front desk are helpful and friendly.
There is a fun pool on the roof and a nice garden out back--a perfect place for an afternoon glass of wine.

They serve breakfast each morning--Argentines aren't real breakfast people.
But the pastries are wonderful, the coffee first rate, a little fruit and yogurt, and eggs if you wish. You get the idea.

We really like the neighborhood --restaurants and cafe's on every block.
If you stay be sure to eat at Hernan Giuseppe Restaurant which is in the hotel and in our opinion is one of the finest restaurants in Buenos Aires--and whats better than a 5 course meal, with wine pairing followed by an elevator ride to your room?

Also important to know is that just around the corner is the best pizza in Buenos Aires - Siamo nel Forno.

If you are boutique hotel people, this is a place not to be missed.

Great hotel located in the residential area of Polermo. Large clean and spacious rooms, tastefully decorated with a large bathroom and walk in shower. Excellent very helpful staff who all spoke good English. Good way from the International airport - about A$180 in a cab and only a short distance to the domestic airport for onward journeys into Argentina. Room (42) was a little noisy as it was street facing, especially at weekend but always travel with earplugs to hand just in case - so didn't detract from our stay. Breakfast was good - although can understand could get a little repetative if staying for any length of time. We stayed for 4 nights during our South America trip and was certainly one of the best hotels that we stayed in during the time. Plenty of restaurant/bar choices within short walking distance from hotel - mainly along Fitzroy. Short walk to the subway for access into town - Carranza Station probably nearer than Polermo - about 20 - 30 minutes into center.
Polermo Soho within walking distance and reasonable walk to Zoo/Japanese Gardens etc around Plaza Italia. Took cab into center one evening and easy enough to flag down taxi on way back - even though relatively late. Had horror stories of pick pockets etc on subway and main tourist areas - so well prepared. Even so forewarned is forearmed and one unsuccesful attempt during the day on the subway - watch out for the innocent looking guys carrying coats draped over their arms - the coat should have been a giveaway in the heat. And carry your backpacks under your arms like the locals, better still small padlock like we did. Only criticism was although there is coffee making facility in the room there is a charge and the hotel would not supply any larger cups/mugs from the restaurant to make our own tea.- we bought a couple of cheap mugs from the local supermarket. Small pool on the roof if you get the time and a nice garden to relax in at end of day with your wine.Took the 'Ultimate Bike Tour' while we were there - which gave a great overview of the City and prebooked a night at 'We Are Tango' before we left - both contact details on TA.

Room Tip: Garden facing rooms would be quieter.

Very clean and well presented hotel with friendly staff. Good size room and quiet . Basic breakfast which got a bit boring as we were staying 7 days. Would not stay there again but this is because of the location not a reflection on the hotel. Better staying in Palermo Soho which has the shops and restaurants and a better vibe.

Spent 2 nights at the Fierro Hotel in the trendy Palermo Hollywood neighborhood in Buenos Aires. This is a lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully furnished, very clean, and comfortable. The service was excellent. A nice, basic breakfast included coffee, fresh squeezed fruit juices, fruit, breads, cereals, yogurt, and eggs. The restaurant, Hernan Gipponi was outstanding with multiple tasting options (5, 7, and 9 courses) with or without wine parings. We will definitely return.

Fierro Hotel is in Palermo Hollywood - one of the "hip" neighborhoods in Buenos Aires (although many of the shops are in Palermo Soho). What is great is the hotel is a short walk to the subway which will take you to Palermo Soho (although you could walk), towards the Recoleta, or to Plaza de Mayo (where you can walk to San Telmo).

The hotel is a boutique hotel which I love. The rooms are spacious (mine had a king bed, couch, small patio which I didn't use but did open up the sliding glass door for fresh air). Bathrooms have a wonderful rainfall shower. Wifi works beautifully. And brilliant storage components so you can really unpack and settle in and not live out of a suitcase. And the rooms are very clean and have a nice touch like a complementary bottle of water.

My only minor complaint is the doors close heavily which means if you're lazy like me and sleeping in, you'll hear the doors opening and closing. But that's it. I didn't hear a peep from the rooms next door and occasionally heard some noise from the street. But for being in the heart of a city, very peaceful.

They also have a lovely garden which is a nice respite from the cement. And breakfast is reasonably priced and tasty.

Aside from a lovely hotel, the service here is impeccable. The staff is knowledgable and helpful in providing recommendations, directions to the subway, calling taxis, even adding pesos to my bill so I have enough cash to pay for my taxi. Truly impeccable which is helpful when visiting a foreign city.

If you stay here, make reservations for The Argentinean Experience which is just a few blocks away for dinner one night. You won't regret it - the highlight of my trip. And in my opinion, skip Osaka (across the street from The Argentinean Experience) as it was overpriced and average in my opinion.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back will be more quiet.
