Found the hotel Pulitzer a very comfortable and friendly place, the staff were excellent as my baggage was delayed for 7 days and I don't speak Spanish they were very helpful in contacting the airline etc for me, the breakfast was more than adequate a good array of choice and the sky bar was great, we would certainly stay there again if we visit buenos aires again.

I was traveling through South America with a group and we stayed in this hotel for two nights while in Buenos Aires.
Location is great, rooms have realy nice furniture.
There are few minuses for me: sound isolation was BAD. I was on the second floor and could hear the traffic like the windows were opened; room was a way too small.
Staff was really nice and I enjoyed this hotel.

When you arrive late with no luggage go up to the bar/restaurant on the roof. It is fine, and you will feel much better. When your luggage is still not there a few hours before getting on a cruise for 16 nights the staff will be a great go between you & the airline. This place is well located, clean, has a library & a breakfast with many items in a very nice room. Have never seen a better & more friendly front desk staff.

Room Tip: No idea-ours was very quiet.

My husband and I just returned from almost a week in Buenos Aires. We stayed at Hotel Pulitzer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Knowing full well that hotel rooms in Europe and Brazil are quite tiny in general we were very pleasantly surprised with how spacious our room at Hotel Pulitzer was. We loved the modern nautical themed decor. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've experienced in any international hotel and I literally could have packed the bed linens and pillows in my luggage and taken them home. They were that nice. The staff was very helpful in helping us make reservations for dinner, nightlife and entertainment and suggested a fabulous parilla that ended up being our favorite restaurant of the trip. (Cabana Las Lilas - DO NOT miss it) Loved the location - we were able to walk to Florida St./ Calle Alvear for shopping, walk to see the Obelisco, walk to Teatro Colon etc. The other thing is that this hotel is located on a one way street so pretty much every time you walk our the front door there is a cab just seconds away if you need one. Free wifi. Early check in was just $60 (we arrived at an ungodly hour and needed to add this to our stay). Fabulous stay - we will seek out other Pulitzer properties again.

We finished a tour of South America by staying overnight at the Hotel Pulitzer before our long flight back to Britain.

We didn't know what to expect as the booking was made with fairly short notice and there was a party of about 30 of us. We needn't have worried, however, because the hotel was excellent; right in the city centre, well-appointed and very clean and comfortable.

The overall decor is unusual but tasteful. Our room was on the third floor and had very comfortable twin beds, mirrored wardrobes and a large ensuite bathroom. An usual feature was that the bedroom was well-lit, with overhead lights if required; most hotel rooms tend to have lamps and subdued lighting which make it difficult to do hair and makeup properly. The bathroom had a bath, shower, basin, toilet and bidet, as well as good thick towels and a selection of toiletries. The bathroom was also well-lit.

The cocktail bar on the 2nd floor was pleasant and contained a 'sunken' living-room area with comfortable settees and chairs. There was a large selection of beers, wines and cocktails. There is an additional rooftop bar called Skybar which affords a fantastic view of the city and allows you to enjoy your cold drinks in the balmy sunshine.

Breakfast is served in the basement area of the hotel and consists of a self-service buffet with cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. There is also a selection of juices and as much tea and coffee as you can drink.

Despite it being a city-centre hotel on a main road with lots of traffic, you cannot hear the traffic noises from within your room so we enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.

I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

We booked 3 room in this hotel with the 2 being on the 3rd floor and 1 on the 10th floor. The 2 3rd floor rooms had toilets block and overflow.
1 of the 2 lifts was working and it took ages for the working lift to get to the floors because it had to stop virtually at every floor.

The staff was helpful and friendly.

The floors in the breakfast room were uneven and a danger especially with roving waitresses carrying hot coffee and water.

The Sky Bar was excellent!!!

Nice, neat, modern and well kept hotel. Well located at downtown Buenos Aires, a few blocks of the beautiful plaza and park San Martin. The rooms are ample and very comfortable, with a big closet and nice mirrors. Big bathroom. A minor quibble was that the shower glass door was not big enough and the floor got wet after taking a shower. The buffet breakfast was OK. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at The Pulitzer.
