Hotel Pulitzer Buenos Aires
Ranked #95 of 444 Hotels in Buenos Aires

The four star consensus is accurate for Hotel Pulitzer. You certainly will not get blown away by this place, but you also will have little need to worry about your basic needs. . . . My +/- review:

Positives (+)
---------------

* Location - The hotel is one block away from Av Florida and right near Plaza San Martin. Easy walk to Recoleta, too. For our purposes, it was a great place to spend the final night of a long trip without having to worry about commuting/taxi hassles.

* Breakfast - Am ample and spacious spread, with a large variety of fresh fruit. Thumb's up.

* Cleanliness/Service - The front desk guy was great, and took care of ordering our taxi from Taxi Ezeiza to go to the airport.

Negatives (-)
----------------

* Room Size - Our room was pretty small. Not trip-over-your-feet small, but certainly smaller than we'd usually get for that price range (~$120 USD). Then again, we had a great location. . . .

* Decorations - While the lobby is nice, our room came straight out of the 1980s, especially the funky carpeting. Wouldn't say we received a great deal of ambiance, but, then again, we weren't looking for that on the final night of our trip.

All in all, Hotel Pulitzer proved to be a solid stay. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place in the heart of the city, it would be hard to do much better.

Which is provide you with a perfectly adequate hotel in the center of town within walking distance of many tourist sites and sounds.

Remember BA is a big city so no matter where you stay you will have to travel at some point to get where you are going.

We booked several months in advance and informed the hotel that it was part of our honeymoon circuit but nevertheless we just got a standard room over looking the street with some roadworks. The hotel couldnt change our room because it was fully booked and so it was really really packed out!

They have a good laundry service, and free wifi which is very important. The roof top bar is closed during the colder months of the year.

Staff are generally very friendly helpful and speak English too.

Bathrooms, water pressure and maid service are very good.

Go into with a view to a city hotel to bed down and you will be just fine!

The area is reasonably safe but dont go wondering around alone at night.

This is a modern, well-run hotel if indistinguishable from many of its genre in other cities. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed if a little on the small side. The location is superb for visiting the city - we could walk to many of the things we wanted to see including the Theatro Colon which is not to be missed. We were amused to find ourselves walking past a vast, dirty, run-down building only to look up and see that it was the old Buenos Aires branch of Harrod's!
Breakfast in the basement was good except for the eggs on one morning which had clearly been cooked to early and had turned an unappetizing shade of grey. There was also the mystery of the lifting floor which could catch out the unwary! The restaurant is not really a restaurant but more of a bar with food; We had a meal there our first night but weren't tempted back. The roof-top bar is busy and Noisy at week-ends but clearly hugely popular, so not complaining that it didn't suit us! The road outside is currently being pedestrianised and so access is a little unattractive and inconvenient, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The staff were all very cheerful, helpful and Professional. Overall, we were quite satisfied, it represented good value and we would return.

Excellent location, in the middle of the city. It's a modern styled hotel, with some cozy reading areas, the rooms are very nice but not fancy. They are maintained and very clean. The pool and sunning area is on the roof but it does not have a gym. The gym area consists of 2 treadmill and a bike.

We arrived at night so the area did look a little shady but once the morning rolled in and we walked around the first day, everything was fine and we never felt unsafe. The lobby front door always has an attendant, ready to assist. The front desk staff are very helpful and when asked offered excellent places to eat or see and they spoke good English, since I don't speak Spanish.

In the day light you will find that the Hotel is in the middle of the shopping and business district and all in walking distance. Walk right outside the hotel and make a left, go to Florida Street and start there.

If you enjoy walking, you are in walking distance to a beautiful park and few sites right from the hotels front door.

This is a mix between a business and tourist hotel in an excellent location for visiting as a tourist. It's a modern - looking and will be in a quiet pedestrianised street when they have finished the chaotic building work currently immediately outside. The basement breakfast room offers an OK buffet and decaf coffee - a rarity in Argentina. The rooftop bar looked fun for youngsters but was far too noisy for us. The bedroom was comfortable and roomy although in common with many South American hotel rooms, the lighting was pretty dim - plenty of light fittings but not much light.
Overall comfortable but lacking in character.

The 4 star hotels in Buenos Aires are not very special. The entrances are not very big, the breakfast rooms are not very charming but the most important factor in choosing a hotel is its location. Hotel Pulitzer is a very good one as far as location is concerned. The Street it is located on is under construction at present so it is a littlie inconvenient now, but when it is finished, it will be on a pedestrian Street. AS it is close to the corner, access from the bus will not be a problem either.

The rooms are nice, clean, modern and comfortable.

You can walk to most places from this hotel which is great.

Breakfast is acceptable, sometimes with very delicious cakes and bread.

Room Tip: Quiet one. Some rooms can be noisy due to traffic.

This hotel was a very good standard, the room was large and clean, was also in a good location.

The view was overlooking a concrete atrium ...... and on occasiona weird smell came from the bathroom - to be fair tot eh hotel though I didnt complain about it so I didnt give them the chance to fix it.

The breakfast was really simple with very little choice.

They had a great roof top bar, they served good food up there and they also have a small pool and some sun loungers so you can enjoy the weather. Despite the breakfast would definately stay here again if visiting.
