This is a 2 stars hotel, dont expect anything fancy. You get what you pay. Good for a few nigths but not for long terms, The staff is very helpfull, the location is great, only 15 minutes walk to Plazita Serrano and 10 min walk to Bosques de Palermo. I recomend it.

I would recommend Koten hotel to anyone staying in Buenos Aeres.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful, the rooms are clean and bright.
Good breakfast, fresh fruit salad everyday.
Free wifi available in the rooms.
The location is perfect, very close to all attractions.

This is a basic hotel but its location is great as it is near the liveliest parts of Palermo and feels safe to wander at night but unlike other parts of Palermo it's very near the subte underground station to access the other attractions of BsAs. It was also the most economical for us though not cheap by any measure. Definitely not boutique glamour as basic furniture, small rooms with narrow but comfortable beds with very well worn bed linens ( spotlessly clean after room
servicing every day) harsh overhead lighting and the bathrooms have a shower head with no shower tray or bath and a floor "scraper" which you can use to direct water to the drain. I agree it has the kitsch charm with the old shutters and bathoom fixtures and the ac was welcome and internal facing rooms were a bit quieter than usual for BsAs. The shower didn't bother us as its fairly standard in hotels in Argentina & as shower was still good with constant hot water and our stay being in Jan/Feb the water evaporated quickly from floor. It also has the convenience of a hotel with the helpful receptionists, security, ground floor computers and standard argentine breakfast fare of cereal, medialunas ( savoury or sweet) fruit salad, dulce de leche, orange squash and tea, coffee . We had good wifi in both rooms we stayed in and tv with English speaking channels ( requires channel surfing to find them with constant ad breaks in Spanish)

Room was mouldy. Sheets were stainy. No bath tub. No hot water. Shower head was basically behind the door and no space. Water wouldn't drain. All together horrible. Tiny room. Breakfast was so average. Glasses for juice was a shot size. Paid $70 for one night didn't worths of $40

Although the staff is super helpful and kind and the location itself excellent, the quality/price is really bad. If you are looking just for a place to sleep in a good location and don't mind poor quality and services, than you might give it a try.

A special note to the bathroom which, in my room, was ensuite but came with no shower-tub: you are showering between the sink and and the WC.

Also, no internet in the room (though you get wi-fi in common areas) and breakfast is (literally) served only till 10am.
