“Great Steak !”
Reviewed 14 March 2013

Our guide took us to Cafe Margot. He said we should keep the secret and not blab it around too much. It is a good place for lunch if you are looking in the Boedo section of Buenos Aires. As you can see by my picture I was about to enjoy an Argentine Steak. In fact I think I ate a week's worth of beef in that sitting. The company was great, the conversation was animated everyone had a good meal. I don't remember the local beer I had but it went down very easily.

“Dinner and Lunch!”
Reviewed 11 October 2012

We have been before to Margot for coffee but this visit had a lovely evening meal, food was fresh and plentiful Argentinian fare. Salad, pasta, steak and desert all good. Went back for lunch where we tried a large and tasty sandwich, salad and plate of the day, Pastille de Papas (shepherd"s pie) which went down a treat for the men at only 30 pesos - around $6. Good wines and beer. A charming cafe, staff do not speak English but we still managed with humour!

“Authentic eatery...”
Reviewed 22 December 2011

A quaint, local restaurant in Boedo - No one spoke English, and we didn't speak Spanish, a diner at the next door table helped us order ice for the wine - and we loved it! We randomly pointed out something on the menu, and was served a light dinner consisting of bread, cheeses, and meats a while later. Prices were reasonable, service was friendly and prompt, and food and wine was good!
