We stayed at the Mio Buenos Aires for the last leg of our trip in Argentina in May 2014. The hotel is beautiful. It has high end finishes in a very nice part of the city. However, they hotel had some serious customer service flaws.

Here are some of the highlights:
-The breakfast was great and the waitresses were amazing. They greeted us every morning, made fresh cappuccino and eggs if we requested it.
-The pool/spa area was the main reason we stayed at the hotel since we wanted to have a day to relax over a 10 day trip. This area did not disappoint. We were the only ones there that day which was great. It was clean, the water was heated and the showers had jets which were AMAZING.

-Our room had two double beds put together. It wasn't a Queen or King size bed as advertised.
-The wifi was terrible. We think there was one router for the entire floor so it was very slow and the connection constantly dropped. It was very frustrating. There is a computer lab on the 2nd floor so there was a way for us to check-in for our flight and print our boarding passes but it was less than ideal.
-The concierge was not very helpful. He was either new or didn't know the area. For example, his recommendation for a local bank to exchange money was closed. We also told him that we wanted something casual for lunch and he directed us to a steakhouse. My husband and I speak Spanish so that helped us communicate with him because his English was spotty at best.
-The worst part of our entire stay was the check-out process. We had asked for a late check out since we had a late flight back to the US and wanted to shower before a 10 hour flight. Well, when we arrived to our room at 12:30 pm they told us that we had to leave and there was actually someone in our room looking to gather our things! We were extremely disappointed that we had to rush and be penalized because of someone else's mistake. To make matters worse, the front desk never apologized for their mistake. They said that we could shower in the spa but at that point we had such a sour experience that we just wanted to leave.

The hotel has potential but needs better management given the price and other competitors.

We stayed at the gem-like Mio Buenos Aires Hotel both at the beginning and end of our trip to Argentia, in June of 2014. In total, we spent seven days in this hotel and departed feeling we knew the Mio Buenos Aires Hotel very well. I recommend it with highest praise. In all of Buenos Aires, I suspect few hotels compare with the superb services, convenient location, and welcoming staff of this gem of a hotel! We were particularly impressed by consistently friendly and helpful staff. Franco, the Concierge, assisted us with any needs we had, with a graciousness that made us feel we were right at home! In fact, one of the real draws of this hotel is the warm and always attuned staff. The hotel itself is centrally located, near parks, buses and landmarks within walking distance. The impeccably clean and modern rooms are a dream come true, with every possible amenity. The Mio Buenos Aires Hotel includes breakfast and nightly free drink in the lobby, both unexpected treats, tastefully served. A spa with exercise machines and lap-size swimming pool were also a delightful, equally exquisite surprise. Although the hotel is on a tree-lined main street, all rooms are extremely quiet and guarantee a restful sleep. (I am a nut about quiet and the Mio Buenos Aires met my every expectation!) Many rooms look onto a very quaint courtyard. I did enormous amounts of research and compared endless reviews before I choose the Mio Buenos Aires Hotel. I'm so glad I made this choice. I urge you to book the Mio Buenos Aires Hotel as soon as you can. Look no further, you'll adore this hotel!

Room Tip: All rooms seem equally quiet and sunny.

I spent my 5th year wedding anniversary in Mio and can tell you it was amazing. Two month before arriving, I was already in touch with reception to arrange flowers and a bathtub in my room. When I got there, it was all set.
Everybody was very kind and helpful all the time.
I'll definitely be back soon.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

This hotel has what you're looking for! sometimes we just can have some of the expect ions accomplished, but I got them all at Mio. Loved the location, couldn't be any better, close to main attractions in Buenos Aires and always a walking distance to nice restaurantes, night clubs, etc. The property is very well maintained, and extremely comfortable rooms - spacious too - are offered. I go the one floor 11th, with great views and lots of comfort. loved the decoration, very modern and with a sophisticated look. Breakfast is really good with many variety of food and pastries.
It's a total come back.

Room Tip: They have several kind of rooms, mine at 11th floor is smaller in size, but hey grand you a great vi...

If you pass in front of this elegant hotel you will not even realize what s behind the 10 meters high wooden door. An affordable, modern and incredibly confortable place to stay in this sofisticated neighbourhood. Friendly staff, outstanding restaurant with the best breakfast in town and huge rooms to choose from. The acoustic is not perfect, but depending on the situation, the staff can always change your accomodations to your better wellfare. Definetively my home in Buenos Aires.

Mio is a small boutique hotel in upscale Recoleta, just a few steps away from the impressive cemetery. It's a ten minute drive from Newbery airport. There are plenty of boutiques and restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel has a late 1990's / early 2000's feel to it, with a rather minimalist architecture that is vitalized through the extensive use of wood. The wooden entrance door is some 8 meters tall! Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. There is a nice spa half way up the hotel. On the top floors there are only two rooms per floor.

Breakfast is generous with a lot of attention to detail. The restaurant and wine bar were very empty when we visited. Throughout the hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A minor issue concerns cleanliness: the windows should be washed more often, and the outside terraces could be cleaner. There is some wear and tear in the rooms.

But overall this hotel is very good and great value for money.

We went in a group of friends, most of all were couples. The rooms were extremely cosy, the bed is a king size and the sheets have a "cloud effect".
