Location
Located in a good position within the centre of Buenos Aires, just at the end of the famous Av.9 de Julio. There is a C line metro bus station called Est. Independencia just across the road that goes along the main avenue all the way to Plaza De La Republica or one can walk in 15-20 minutes. Also the Pink House or Case de Gobierno is about 20 minutes walkaway. In addition there is a subway station called Est. San Juan about 5 minutes walk away. From the main international airport the drive is about 45 minutes - expect to pay just under 300 Pesos by taxi. Within the immediate area there is some nice shops and bars in San Telmo which is about 5-8 blocks away.
Room
Room was very spacious, quite glamous with gold rimmed lamps and two double beds. There is also a small round dining table with two chairs, a mini bar, nice large wooden clothes cabinets with a safe in side and even a balcony. The decor is very clean and glamour white marble floors. The beds were very comfortable with decent bedding and softness. Plugs are somewhat sparse but some do exist. There is a full mini bar.
The bathroom offers a shower bath combo in a large bathroom, again glamorous with gold taps and marble tops. The bath also has a sort of jacuzzi function but there was no plug hole so no way to try it out. There is also a bidet and full mini amenities- all hotel branded.
Facilities
WIFI is free and although is given a password at reception, it was not required- it runs very fast. There is also an area on 1st floor with a terrace to perhaps lie in the sun. Breakfast is also included and the selection of food was interesting and predominantly more continental, a lot of delicious but very sweet Argentinean pastries along with scrambled egg, fruits and other breads. Overall there was a good selection.Believe parking is available as well.
Staff
Staff at reception are very nice, check-in/out was easier and didn't even require a deposit for mini bar. Staff at restaurant are non responsive, it is just help yourself to everything and so dialogue is very limited.
Overall this is a good location if you in Buenos Aires first time or need to be near the central area.
The only negative I would say is that check-out is very early at 10am (& out of 100 hotels though 11am was the earliest). However this maybe policy in most hotels in BA. However I would visit this hotel again as it is good value for money and very good location.

The room is spacious and the hotel facilities are nice elegant and clean. Location is within a walking distinct to everything, just one block from tango show.

Buenos Aires traffic can be unpredictable so stay somewhere in town is worth paying for.

The staff are unpredictable too, some very friendly and some very unfriendly.

Overall, something between 'average' and 'above average'. Great location in town and centrally located to the Subte (Metro) for getting about. Near shopping area within walking distance, and good local restaurants.

Room Tip: Stay on the street side-lots of entertainment from the protesters below on the sidewalk. Get corner room if possible, on an upper floors to reduce street noise.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights last week. We picked this hotel rather than one in the hipper district of Palermo due to its close proximity to a subway station. (Across the road from Independencia) The price of the room per night were a lot more reasonable - I guess due to the area not being as pretty. The area we felt was safe at night, had some good cafes, restaurants and cute shops nearby. The Sunday market in San Telmo is only a couple of blocks away. The hotel is also within walking distance to Plaza Mayor, Florida Av etc. Another thing to point out is that the hotel is just off the highway to BA's international airport, particularly handy when are travelling late by taxi, and in need of a good night's rest.
The room we had was very spacious. It was right next to the elevator door, but the noise would only bother you if you were a light sleeper. The view from the room was fantastic, we could see the Oberlisk from the window.
Reception staff were pretty helpful with our questions - they even helped us with looking up an address on the internet. Also available in the hotel is currency exchange; the rate offered us during our stay was reasonable. However with any hotels exchange, you will get the assurance of genuine money, but you will better rates elsewhere on the high street.

We can't fault the convenient location of this hotel. We walked from the hotel to explore San Telmo Sunday Market and the shopping areas in and around Florida Street without any problems. The entrance to the hotel was grand, the lobby was spacious and the room was comfortable and sufficient. The breakfast which was included in the room rate was one of the best of all the Argentinean hotels we have stayed at, with a wide variety of spread and choice. Wifi was free and strong even from our room. We had dinner at the one evening and found the food to be delicious and reasonably priced.

The only negative thing we have to say about this hotel is the staff. We liaised with different staff as they changed shifts during our 2-day stay. Our luggage had been delayed and the airlines informed us that it will arrive the following day. We informed the staff at the counter when we checked in and he said he will make a note of that and have the luggage sent to our room when it arrives. On the following day, we waited until 12 noon for our luggage and when it did not arrive, we checked with the staff at the counter (who was different from the one we spoke to yesterday). This was a lady who did not bother to smile and she told us that no luggage has been sent from any courier so far. We informed her that we were expecting our luggage and will she kindly send it to our room when it arrives as we wanted to go out and explore the city. She agreed.

When we finally returned to the hotel about 6pm, we saw the lady still working at the counter and she did not acknowledge us when she saw us coming through the entrance. We went up to our room hoping to see our luggage there but were disappointed when it wasn’t. We spent the remaining of the evening calling different numbers of the airlines, trying to get some answers for our delayed luggage. We were informed at all times that the luggage has arrived from Amsterdam and has been given to the local delivery man that morning, to be sent to our hotel. It wasn’t until the following day that we managed to speak to the delivery man himself, who informed us that he had already delivered our luggage to the hotel the previous day!! I was furious and called the reception to inform them of this and the staff who was working that day put me on hold and went to check the luggage room and found our luggage and promptly had it delivered to our room!!

This, to us, was VERY bad service from the staff of the hotel. We were unnecessarily distressed for many hours due to the negligence and indifferent attitude of the hotel staff. The staff who delivered our luggage apologised and told us he did not know anything about our luggage as our name tag was removed from the handle and kept separately in another external part of the luggage (who would want to do that??). By the time I opened our luggage, I found a very expensive face cream and body lotion missing from my toiletries bag, although my luggage was padlocked. That left a very bad taste to the start of our holiday.
