“Great location if you want to stay central”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

We stayed here for a night as a stopover before moving on to the next leg of our trip. The hostel is well-priced given it's excellent location, minutes from the obelisk. We had a private room which was clean and a good size with an overhead fan. The bathroom was also a good size with a reasonable shower.

The person on reception was polite and friendly and spoke good English; he did not, however, realise that I had paid a 10% deposit online in advance until I pointed this out to him, so watch out if you don't want to be overcharged (I think this was an innocent mistake, however, rather than an attempt to get more money out of guests!)

The hostel is large and appeared to be a sociable place - we were travelling as a couple and only passing through briefly, so didn't meet any other guests, but I'm sure in other circumstances we could have done easily. There was a bar and several common areas for socialising.

This hostel is well-priced and would be ideal if you're on a budget and looking to meet other travellers, it is basic but that's to be expected in this category of accommodation.

This place was a great little find., a couple of blocks from the obelisk, but only a ten minute walk to San Telmo and easily accessible to everywhere else.
Dorms are basic but clean, there are also individual bathrooms with shower and toilet.
Staff are mostly really helpful and friendly.
Free wifi is good, there's also a couple of computers. The breakfast is awesome- squeeze your own orange juice with croissant, toast, dulce du leche, tea, coffee.
Really lovely communal area and balcony.
The rooms on the ground floor can get really hot and the noise from the communal area really travels but otherwise would definitely recommend this place.
One word of warning- the book 7 nights get the last one free offer has to be done when you're booking otherwise they won't give it to you free.. Always read the small print!

Right downtown, one block from the obelisk. Good rates, I stayed four nights and they gave me the last one half off, if you stay 7 the last one is free. I don't know if this is all the time, or only a limited time promo. Two kitchens, well stocked. Clean enough, better than other hostels I've stayed in. They give you clean sheets when you arrive, and a towel too which is really nice. Breakfast is the usual, toast and a croissant and coffee, but you can take as much as you want. Staff were helpful when I asked, and all spoke serviceable English. The only downside I have to say about it is that people partied downstairs and there was always loud music playing. Super fun when I wanted to party, terrible when I needed sleep.

Room Tip: Rooms on street are noisy. I had one in the centre of the hostel and it was nice and quiet, though t...

Good location with good price. I payed 56 ARS per person in 6 bed dorm. Staff is very helpful. The hostel is often chosen by party likers, so it's quite noisy at night.
But I really recommand it- NO bed bugs!!

we staid four weeks here and liked it very much.
the breakfast is very great.with fresh orange juice, croissant, dulce de leche and all day free coffee and tea.
we slept the whole timeexcept two days in the 12 bed room.the beds are really nice and clean,it has a nice little balcony.only anoying thing somtimes are the parties in the breakfast room under it.
you can grill outside and they have three computers and a few games.
the staff is very young and will help you with a place for going out, allthough sometimes there a bit confused and stressed.
in the end of our stay they got a new young boss,he was really unfriendly and stressfull...very anyoing.
you can watch tv and they have a few good books and comics around.
they als have private rooms,we staied in one with loftbed and a private bed for 40 dollars, way too small and waay to expensive for the quality and it has no window.
also when the hostel is too crowed on weekends,it can be very loud and the toiletts wont flush anymore and there are only four on each floor for about 170 people...also the showers will be boiling hot or freezing cold.
but except that its a great hostel:)
