“Great location in Villa Crespo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2012

Great place if you want to stay away of the busy BsAs downtown.
If the cab driver doesn't know the address of the hotel, just say to drop you off at Gurruchaga and Corrientes, walk couple blocks and you will find the hotel sign on the corner.
This location is the best option you can find if you want to shop at Palermo district and Villa Crespo outlets.
The rates are very reasonable for the room you will get. The beds are confortable, and the room is clean. This hotel doesn't offer breakfast, so a good tip is to cross the street and get a latte with 2 medialunas (croissants) for less than U$2.00 at Ristretto Cafe. That's really cheap for a good cup of joe. You can also find a small grocery store next door of the hotel.

PROs
- 2 blocks of the Subte Malabia
- Friendly Staff
- Frontdesk borrow a power adapter for US type laptop
- Reading lamps
- Free WiFi
- Computers in every floor
- Cable TV (mostly Argentinean channels)
- Good price
- Great Location
- New building (opened in November 2011)

CONs
- Shower
- A little noise during the daytime

Overall, I recommend to everyone who is coming to Buenos Aires.

We only stayed for two nights but thought this hotel was really good. Location great and the staff were very nice. The rooms were modern and the bed very comfortable.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in my umpteenth trip to BsAs, this time to attend Quilmes Rock Festival 2012. Rooms are modern, spacious and very clean; front desk is attentive; well-located (walking distance to the Palermo district); the nearby Subte (subway) station comes in very handy. I wouldn't recommend it for a first trip to BsAs, as the hotel is pretty far from the main tourist attractions (although those can be very easily reached by subway or bus), but as we wanted to be near the stadium for the festival and the Palermo nightlife, and I know my way around town pretty well, it was perfect. If your thing is discount shopping (it isn't mine), you'll find this hotel interesting too, as it is right at the heart of the Villa Crespo outlet district. If you grow tired of parrilla, try Sarkis, the nearby Armenian restaurant. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as it seemed a little expensive by comparison to nearby cafés and we were never up in time to catch it, anyway. Flatscreen TV with a good range of cable channels; iPod dock; free WiFi (we got a corner room, so it worked on and off); limited toiletries which were not replaced (but you can buy those at the grocery store next door); minibar and sink (a microwave would have been nice); hairdryer; safe big enough to fit in a notebook; nice street view. The only real bugger was the fact that the shower points right at the curtain and the water reaches the floor OUTSIDE the shower area (which, despite the adequate size of the room, is tiny), making it impossible to avoid a complete mess.

Room Tip: We had a nice corner room, but the internet worked on and off unless we sat by the door.

I had also previously booked into Jam Suites boutique hotel in Palermo and upon arrival after a long flight was told there was a problem with the bathroom and was moved to Pop for my 2 night stay. I ended up booking 5 nights because I liked the place. The hotel is located about 5 blocks from Palermo and close to a subway station. My room was a good size, had modern decor and was very clean. What really makes the place is the staff, all of them were very helpful and went out of their way to find out information for me. I have been travelling around south america for a few weeks and the staff at Pop have been the best. Thank you for a great stay!

At Pop hotel, you will get a nice and newly renovated room for a good price. They call themselves a "budget boutique hotel", which is a really good appelation. Rooms are large and confortable, and people at the frontdesk are really kind, but you won't get much more. Exactly what I was expecting from a budget hotel.

Moreover, the hotel is in a safe area of Buenos Aires, and a few blocks of Palermo. A direct metro line to the city center is two blocks away only.

If you're only looking for a place to sleep, and if you get a good price, go there without hesitation.

My boyfriend and I travel abroad at least once a year for vacation. This year we started our trips going to Buenos Aires for 5 days. Pop Hotel really impressed us. I the hotel business and Pop Hotel is one of those hotels which take it very professional! All people in the front desk speak English and Spanish, friendly and very polite! They helped us with great tips! They also indicated places to go and eat! The room is so clean, new and with a great style! It was so beautiful the idea of the hotel! They play good music in the front desk like U2, Jack Johnson, etc. They also have different things in each floor. In the 1st one is a little snack place with vend machines, the second one it's like a LAN house (free computers) and the other floors weren't ready yet because the hotel is brand new! I absolutely love the hotel and when I go back to Buenos Aires I will definitely stay there!

We were moved to this hotel when our guaranteed reservation was given away by another hotel. In spite of the circumstances, our stay was delightful, thanks to the excellent help of the front desk people. We could not have asked for more detailed, patient, kind assistance in learning how to navigate Buenos Aires. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, lovely linens, brand new everything. Two comments about the room...the lighting is inadequate in the closet/ safe area. I had to move my suitcase to near the window to see what I was looking for. Our room had only one window panel...I think other rooms had two big windows, but were on a busier street side of the building. We did hear a lot of street noise on Sunday night/ Monday morning, when a dumpster was being moved. The other comment has been made about the small shower, which was not comfortable with ridges in the floor for safety. The only other concern we had was about walking back to the hotel late in the evening. Even though we were dining in Palermo, we didn't feel secure the one night we walked back. We took cabs after that. During daylight hours there are many shoppers and lots of families on the streets. At night, it is deserted with the shutters pulled down over all the shop windows. It feels scary. We hope the area continues its renewal and that Pop Hotel succeeds. We had a great experience there.

Room Tip: We found our room at the end of the hall quiet, with minimal foot traffic going by.
