The lobby is inviting; the room was large and comfortable; the breakfast was great; the place is spotless; the staff was very helpful and internet was lightening fast. The location is not quite as good as the MicroCenter. And a $6.00 charge for internet was a bit annoying.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the first floor. It will be noisy if there's an all night party occurring bel...

The hotel staff was both friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage while we went to Iguazu Falls after we stayed 3 nights and return to spend one last night in Buenos Aires. They are close to a good area with lots of restaurants, local ships and pizza restaurants are all close by. The room was adequate and comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and were not bothered by noise of the main street at all. The breakfasts each day were huge..everything from healthy fruit, juices and yoghart to eggs, meats, cheeses, multiple drinks and lots of freshly baked breads and rolls. I would stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for fourth floor in the rear...very quiet and off the Main Street.

The building is Art Nouveau and is very well preserved. The main room, not to loose, is the bar, next to the reception.
The bedrooms are very modern keeping the high ceilings. Very good and spacious bathroom.
Excellent breakfast.
It is located close to the Congresso , in Callao Avenue, and at a walking distance from the main theaters, in Corrientes Avenue.
If you want to take the underground there are 2 stations nearby.
If you like Milongas, try El Beso, which is just 4 quarters away.

The Savoy Hotel is definitely worth staying at, provided you can get a decent deal on expedia or bookings.com. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast is enough to keep you going for the day! The room itself is quite dark and there is no coffee machine, so this is something they can work on. I did visit some of the other 5* hotels in Buenos Aires and would have to say I'd go back to the Savoy again for the beautiful architecture and great central location. Everything was walking distance and felt very safe and secure. Definitely recommend!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is well light and has a street facing view versus the view of another wall!

The hotel was very good. Clean, large rooms with very nic bathrooms. Very nice an filling breakfast included in the morning. The employees were very friendly and helpful. One complait was a missing coffeemaker in the room. Also for this price point the hotel should include the computers in the business center free of charge for those with no hardware of their own with them.

We stayed here two night after a wonderful cruise from Valpariso. Our room on the fourth floor was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately it was at the front and the noise from the busy road went on day and night. The window insulation left a lot to be desired so sleep was a problem. We were in the dining room early each morning and had a nice breakfast. Now a warning, DO NOT use the bar unless you are prepared to be ripped off, (21usd for two bottles of beer and a juice) Plenty of places just outside the hotel.
This is a beautiful old hotel with a wonderful friendly staff. The two girls on the front desk in particular were a delight, nothing was too much bother for them.
Shame about the noise, the only thing that would prevent me from staying there should we ever return to the beautiful city that is Buenos Aires.

Room Tip: Try a room away from the busy front street

We stayed here following a very enjoyable cruise. Our room was on the fourth floor at the front of the hotel overlooking a busy road. The room was gloomy as it had one wall which was black, a blackout curtain, dark wood floor and dark furniture. The room was a reasonable size and had a patio-style window overlooking the road but there were no rugs or carpet and there were no tea or coffee making facilities. The wardrobe was a reasonable size though shelf space was limited. The bed was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and had the usual amenities though there was a fixed shower head and the controls did not allow much adjustment of the force of the water.
We found the breakfast adequate rather than exciting and there was a limited range of cooked food. The hotel retains many of its period features which while attractive do not compensate for the lack of atmosphere. We thought the hotel was more geared to business clients than tourists. That said the receptionists were very friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: Any room away from the roads at the front and one side of the hotel are to be prefered so as to avoi...
