The property is great, the food is good and the overall condition is ok but I think there is a major problem in food and beverage service. I think this is a shame because the hotel's image is damaged by something that could be easily improved.
I need you should consider improving:
1 - the food was too slow. It is impossible to eat in the restaurant or bar if you have a tight schedule. I had some meetings at the hotel on March 20th then I was not able to go out for food and I was force to skip both lunch and dinner because it took for ever to be ready.
Although we were with a group, and the food was order at 11 am, I spent 1 hour waiting for the food at the restaurant and it never came then I had to go back to the meeting room and I was not able to have lunch. At night I was starving and my schedule was tight again, I asked the waitress for the quickest food I could have and she suggested nachos and hummus. I wanted to have empanadas but she mention it will take 20 minutes for its to be ready, then I decided to take her suggestion. Something so simple as the nachos and humus took 40 minutes to be on my table, then I skipped this meal again. 2 - there is an intense smell coming from kitchen at El Mercado restaurant. After spending a while there at lunchtime I have to change my cloth because it was stinky.
3 - Considering that the food service is so slow, the waiters could be more friendly and show some concern about such repeated the delay.
