“Good hotel for a moderate price point”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

This hotel was conveniently located in Retiro within walking distance of the subte and train/bus station on a busy street and next to a church. You can walk to all the touristy points in town or catch the subway to points further off like San Telmo and Palermo. This is probably a 3.0 to 3.5 star hotel equivalent (Holiday Inn comes to mind) to the US and the prices were pretty good as a result. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was a little bit disorganized but was helpful when needed. The one thing that annoyed me is they didn't have an arbolita nearby that they could recommend so I had to go and build my own relationship on Florida street. You would think they would have someone nearby. There is a fantastic bakery/cafe just opposite the church and another down the street so you won't go hungry if you don't end up eating breakfast in the hotel. The door is manned at all hours by a doorman/porter so no matter when you are coming and going, you feel safe. The bathroom was oddly designed (not very practical) and the shower didn't drain well, and the bathtub leaked, but otherwise it was fine.

Room Tip: High floors overlooking the church.

I got a deal through Hotels.com for 50% off this hotel. Its definitely not worth full price, but if you can get a deal, its very clean, spacious and includes a big buffet breakfast. Breakfast included pastries, toast, scrambled eggs, a second hot dish, cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, cereal, etc. We had a small kitchenette in our room with a microwave, sink, small fridge and cooktop. There's a Disco grocery store just 1.5 blocks away and the ability to make some small meals in the room ads to the value even more. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful especially the young man named Ariel. He had lots of great recommendations for us on where to run, shop, walk, etc.

Room Tip: We were in room 508 which overlooks the church. The church bells seemed to start ringing pretty ear...

Even very close to the 9 Julio Blvd, the biggest avenue there, there was no traffic noise. The rooms were clean, large, big bathrooms, new instalations, a very big bad in the bedroom. The breakfast was good, variety, fresh. Internet connection everywhere. Quiet zone near some church n school. A good location, so close to Florida and Santa fe streets.

Room Tip: Take some reservation to Cena Tango Shows. It really deserves.

I've stayed there twice in the last few weeks, for a total of 7 nights, and it was excellent. The room was very comfortable and smart, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. The location is good, about 15-20 mins walk down to the main shopping area, Puerto Madero and Plaza Mayor etc, and there is an underground station nearby. There are several cafes/restaurants very close by, although I don't recommend the restaurant right on the corner of Juncal and Esmeralda, the waiter was very rude. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel, and a bank with ATM just round the corner.

It's not average and it's not excellent. It's just ok. Clean and not too far from where we needed to be but not that close either. Breakfast was weak, scramble eggs were really soggy. Please fix this, it's horrible. The bathroom doesn't have a fan.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as a part of a group tour in March 2014. The hotel is centrally located with many restaurants, cafes and shops in the vicinity. It just a couple of blocks from the main Av 9 de Julio. It is walking distance to major landmarks like Colon Theater, Pink House , Cathedral, Recoleta, San Martin Square, Florida Street etc. Rooms are decent and functional. Our Room had a safe and a kitchenette with a microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast was very good with variety of spreads. Service was prompt. Had a very nice stay.

During this business trip we stayed here and was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The pool located at the roof was excellent. Many good restaurants around the hotel and close to the Recoleta. I would stay here again for sure.
