Great place to visit on a Sunday treats are closed and you can
buy all your souvenirs at cheaper prices than in the shops.
They don't harass you to buy anything and you can barter a little..
Plenty of places to eat and drink and there's tango dancing in the
main square
Great place to spend an hour or so and if you like antiques
there's plenty of them

We stayed in San Telmo during both stays in Argentina. It is alive and active! Check out the Plaza Dorrego in the evenings. There's tango, food and merchants! On Sundays Avenue Defensea is closed to all traffic for the best street fair ever! It is part local artisans craft fair and flea market. You won't believe the quality of goods and the cheap prices.

We went by taxi to the every Sunday San Telmo art market? It's a Main Street that is loosed for about 18 blocks on sundays and becomes a popular fair, art show, food. Can be crowded. We recommended this visit when in Buenos Aires

Sundays are the best...the market is full of food and merchandise...and also the tango! Tango dancing, lessons, check it out!
