“A great area to visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

Very fashionable and with the famous cemetery and La Biela Cafe this is a great part to spend a few hours. The cemetery is best visited with a guide or a good book for reference.

“Very nice neighbourhood to walk, have a coffee, an icecream or dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

Both locals and tourists enjoy this posh district. Recoleta is filled with cafés, ice cream parlors, restaurants and expensive designer shops.
I have enjoyed it at all times of the day: mornings are quiet, afternoons are more active, and in the evenings tends to be full of people.
A coffee at La Biela (next to the cemetery) and an ice cream just across the street from La Biela are highly recommended activities: ice cream in Argentina is quite good, and there's dozens of flavours. If you have a sweet-tooth try dulce de leche con almendras (caramel with almonds).

“cool neighborhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

young and hip, recoleta seems to have a lot of cafes and restaurants right along the main park and the downtown. Of course the main draw is the cementary which is as beautiful as advertised although a bit run down.

“Great neighborhood!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

I am glad I chose to stay here instead of Palermo (which is nice to visit, even nicer to leave). Safe, central, walkable to all the sights (Cemetery, Plaza De Mayo, Teatro Colon, Calle Florida, Museo De Bellas Artes and MALBA) and a short cab ride elsewhere. Highlights of the area are good restaurants (El Mirasol, La Pecora Nera, Smeterling, even the empanadas at La Cocina), shops (Celadonio Lohidoy - now on Uruguay, check his website), Patio Bullrich.

“Nice place for a day of walking ”

Easy to navigate, many nice cafés, shops, and a cemetery make this upscale neighborhood a great destination. There is also a performing arts center to partake of concerts and other events.
