“The place to be.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 December 2013 via mobile

When people talk about BA being the Paris of the south, this is the neighborhood they are talking about. It would be quite easy to visit.BA, never leave this area and have a perfectly successful trip. Go there, stay there, you will be more than pleased with your experience.

“Historical value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013

A visit to the Recoletta cemetery, especially when accompanied by a guide, gives an excellent overview of the upper classes of Buenos Aires in the early 20th century. You can visit the graves of many important historical figures of Buenos Aires including most presidents and Evita Perron. The various family cripts are a study in architecture and this visit is a must when in Buenos Aires.

“Beautiful area.”

Beautiful neighborhood. We went to the Cemetario de Recoleta and then to La Biela for lunch. Sat outside and enjoyed the area. Upscale shopping, etc...safe, nice area to walk around.

“Very very nice, but not what everyone says!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013

Recoleta is a very nice place, but it's certainly not what everyone says. It's not the nicest area in BsAs (it may be the most expensive one, but Palermo Soho is certainly better).

Nice squares with some street art and a lot of culture, with the cemetery nearby full of famous Argentinians such as Evita Perón... very interesting.

The only reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars is because it's valued a lot more than it deserves.

“Must do when I B.A.”

Great place with tons of restaurants and a very lively atmosphere. Beware of pick-pockets and purse snatchers. Use common sense and you'll be just fine.
