Palermo viejo is an area of Palermo that got its shine back during the economic crisis of 2001.
Many young people with ideas decided to refurbish their traditional houses to turn them into shops or bars. It turned into a cultural spot whit permanent new ideas, a designers polo.
Don´t miss Plaza Serrano, which is surrounded by bars that act at fairs during the afternoon. Go on a weekend. Expect a crowd

This is what BA looked like in the early 1900s, Italian and Spanish style houses, cobbled streets and lovely trees, now in the process of being recycled and quite trendy. Walk its streets.
