great architecture on Avenida de Mayo and some of the oldest coffee houses in the city. Great for strolling and people watching.

“Look up!”
Reviewed 15 December 2012 via mobile

The best street for Parisian-style architecture. Perfect street for a sunset walk after some wine. Walk from end to end. They don't make buildings like this anymore. Enjoy!

“A nice walk”
Reviewed 13 December 2012 via mobile

Very historic wide avenue with lots to see and do, including many protests. The buildings and sights are quite impressive, especially when open. The end of the Avenida is the case rosada. Very impressive, but under renovation and no tours that day

“The main road which is right by almost everything in BA”
Reviewed 28 November 2012

If you visit BA you're bound to walk along this Avenue. There are so many attraction from one end to the other and in between that you'll have to go on it or at least near it. The road itself isn't anything spectacular but with so many great attractions on it or nearby it's worth exploring.

“Big Buenos Aires”
Reviewed 25 November 2012

I say Big Buenos Aires as opposed to Little Paris or Little Italy or Little Barcelona etc. Avenida is the showcase of this city. cafe on evry corner, lots or green trees, congress at the start and the Casa Rosada at the othe end. Great to do on a warm sunny day. Lots of old elegant architecture mixed with modern. Loved the atmosphere, great for the whole family.
