This hotel has a number of things going for it: the price, the interior and the location.
If you like to stay in old buildings with interesting architecture, then look no further. Stepping into this hotel is like stepping into the past. The interior seems to be very well maintained and includes a beautiful central area in which one can sit and relax.
The hotel is located on Avenida Mayo near Avenida 9 de Julio which makes it an ideal location from which to visit the main sites of downtown including easy access to the Florida pedestrian road, the Sunday market, the government buildings, and other downtown landmarks. You can easily access the subway just outside the hotel to visit other locations in Buenos Aires.
The only negative of this hotel is the stuffy rooms. There seems to be air conditioning in the hotel, but my room had none. In order for it to get into the room, I would have had to leave the door open.More
