Yes, book your stay at this hotel now! The most modern classic arty hotel, ever! Our stay was made so enjoyable by staff and it shows a lot about the people of Argentina and the staff of Alvear in general. The Palace is stuffy but this boutique hotel does what it says, art in all forms. Can, I just mention the staff again... Concierge is super efficient and so clued up with any request...

We stayed 2 nights and everything was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was delicious and very fresh. The front desk helped us with all of our requests. It is in a great location and you can walk to many places, like Florida Street. We walked to dinner and felt very safe. The pool is on the top floor and you get a great view of the city. My room had a whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, and electronic shades.

Stayed at the Alvear Palace when arriving on our holiday and stayed here for the last night after our 4 weeks away. Completely different style - very modern but still stylish tower - reminded me of our hotel in Hong Kong as it could be very much geared to the business trade. Situated in the centre of the busy area but is high enough up to avoid noise. Quite a standard executive room but all well done. Good breakfast buffet - one of the better in South America, again catering for the business traveller market.
I'd recommend it but don't expect stunning views, even on (I think) the 8th floor

We stumbled on this hotel and consider it the best one on this time in Argentina. The hotel is new, only open since May 2013, but it made our stay in Buenos Aires very pleasant. The room on the higher floors have good views of BA, not exactly a scenic city. We did enjoy a spectacular lightning display during a thunderstorm, however. The room was large, bathroom had separate toilet/bidet room, double sinks and huge tub as well as great shower. Best of all, the top floor, 17, has a pool and gym with all necessary equipment--elliptical, treadmill, weights, etc. We took advantage of that to unwind from the hot, chaos of the city below. Very clean and well serviced.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor for the great view and light. We didn't dine at the hotel although it has a nice bar and restaurant. Too many outside options compete.

Fantastic place in a good central location. As the hotel only opened last May it's in very good condition and has excellent facilities. Staff are very friendly and courteous and always at hand to help you out. Excellent level of English spoken. If you have business in the area an excellent place to stay. My only complaint is that when I asked one of the receptionist for recommendation for a restaurant he sent me to the Mirasol, which is a mediocre restaurant.
