We stayed in this hotel before and after a trip to Antarctica. The hotel is new, quiet, spacious, modern and comfortable. There were good blackout curtains which were handy when we needed a daytime sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had room service the first night we arrived and this was a pleasant meal. The hotel is within walking distance to a major shopping complex and we walked to several other attractions and felt quite safe. My husband used the gym facilities and he was happy with them.

The will be a review full of superlatives! The hotel is brand new, very clean, modern and the staff are greatly helpful! Our room was 212: a twin, and was very spacious with extremely comfortable beds. There was a problem with our bill, but they graciously noticed their mistake and put it right. We ate at the bar downstairs (because the restaurant was not open on Sunday) and this was also very impressive. Very nice meal- not too expensive- and yummy pudding. I recommend this hotel strongly to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Also, the room rate is about (in GBP£) £200 cheaper/night than in the Albear Palace! I will review that one and compare after my visit next week.A stay here is wonderful :D

Room Tip: (Only one downside was noisy heating- but I don't think this can be avoided in room choice)

We started our trip to Buenos Aires staying at the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt which was lovely but hosted a large corporate event during our stay which detracted from our experience. We traveled to Mendoza and then ended our trip to Argentina staying at the Alvear Art Hotel. I must say we were impressed with the facility, service and the rooms, especially for the excellent price. The rooms were modern and of a very high standard. The hotel was a very good value compared to the Park Hyatt and we would return to this property in a heartbeat. We highly recommend the Alvear Art Hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this fantastic Hotel for 5 nights from 9 July 2014. The facilities were sensational and I would recommend everyone staying there find the time to enjoy sunrise at the heated indoor pool on the top floor. I have to commend all the staff, from the very attentive doorman, the reception desk, the restaurant staff and the staff who cleaned our room every day (and not just once a day). The staff at reception were able to organise us joining a small english speaking tour that provided a good overview of the key suburbs and also provided a list of recommended restaurants and Tango Shows.

The surprise to me was that their own restaurant was not included on the list. We had dinner there on our second last evening and the meal was absolutely sensational. A grilled selection of seafood, oysters from the daytime menu followed by the Lamb Patagon and a fish curry accompained by an enjoyable sauvignon blanc. I could not stop raving about the lamb dish to friends who were staying elsewhere, so hopefully they have been and experienced what I described to them.

The location was perfect for us and I have to say anyone who is looking for a special time in BA then you must book into this Hotel.

Ron (Canberra, Australia)

Room Tip: We had a premium room on a corner and were on the 10th floor.

We initially came here for a just quick break from the World Cup in Brasil but ended up re-extending our booking not once but 4 times!! I love pretty much everything about the hotel, especially the staff.

Coming from Brasil, the quality of hotel was always going to be a lot better, but first impressions count and no matter how good the hotel looks and feels, the staff can change that in an instant. Not the case here, with the door staff / concierge / front desk / restaurant staff & cleaning staff all being fantastic. The are well trained and pretty much all of them spoke very good conversational English, with nothing being too hard a request for them, especially front door and restaurant.

The hotel itself is modern with a great collection of art... the room is a very good size, with the bathroom and shower the stand out... excellent rain-shower water pressure / double sink / very large / heated flooring and good amenities.

We had the mother-in-law stay with us for majority and she stayed on a very comfortable sofa bed and apart from her snoring said the comfort was great. Our king bed was very nice, with the block out motorized blinds being very handy. The toilets have a super powerful flush but because of that you do get some noise from what must be next door when they extra flush or sometimes if people speak very loudly (children in this case)

We had breakfast everyday and found it great with a good selection of fruits / breads / bakery / cereals and some hot options. Nice juices and did not get sick of it over the time I was there and loved being greater by name from most staff and also them remembering what particular things we like to drink etc.

Ate at the restaurant at least 7 times for lunch or dinner and majority of times was fantastic. Monday (after Argentina lost the final!) when restaurant is closed for dinner the food at the bar which was normally an A+ was more like a C but that was the only time we had an issue with the standard of food.

Pool on the top floor is great and used the gym a couple of times, with a great morning sunrise over Buenos Aries... Should have gone more times, but are on holidays after all!!

Location for us was perfect and we booked each time through hotels.com as was cheaper than the hotel could do and if you booked for 2 or more days you got a meal voucher at the restaurant for 3 courses with matching wine!! The rate we got was around AUD$270 a night for the 3 people which was at least half the price of any other 5 star hotel in the city so will definitely be back and so happy with our choice.

Room Tip: 907 shower had great water pressure!
