“Great place close to everything worth seeing.”
Reviewed 2 May 2013 via mobile

We stayed in this hotel when we visited Buenos Aires last month, and the only negative thing I could think of this hotel is that it may be a bit small, but overall the attention was great, the complimentary breakfast was varied and good, rooms were clean, staff friendly, etc... And the best thing is that it's located only like 5 blocks from the Obelisco and from Corrientes avenue.

I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who visits Buenos Aires and is in the mood to do a lot of walking around.

The best things about this hotel are the location, just 5 minutes or so from the main square, and the breakfast.

The room was attractive, spacious and comfortable, with a safe. But the soundproofing between rooms was poor.

Plenty of shops and restaurants in close proximity. The area felt very safe to walk around in, even after dark. Don't miss seeing the main square (Plaza de Mayo) by night.

Staff were polite, but not very helpful

Room Tip: It's on a very busy road so I'd avoid the front of the hotel

This is not a BAD hotel, but there's one issue that makes it a bad experience for me. When I get up in the morning, whenever that is, or even in the evening I would like to make a cup of coffee. I carry with me a coffee cup and some instant coffee packs for just this reason. I have been in hundreds of hotels and spend over half of each year in hotels around the world, and this hotel may be one of only two, maybe three, hotels that didn't have either a coffee maker or an electric kettle in the room, or at least one available for that purpose. If you have to get up early and work, and you'd like a cup of coffee to get started, then find another hotel. Otherwise it's okay, a little worn but okay.

Stayed 2 nights whilst touring. rooms smaller compared to some other SA cities, but very comfy beds (singles, as opposed to the bigger beds elsewhere, but the most perfectly delicious linen ! Must be best quality ever (is that high thread rate?) so fine & smooth. Peculiar shower-screen arrangement makes it difficult to get it running without getting wet (which you need to do if you don't want to wash your hair !) but that's just being picky ! Breakfast was good in terms of offering, but horribly stuffy room, and they were very slow & replenishing crockery..... Great Location though & very comfy

Room Tip: Right on main expressway, so is noisy of course, but still worth it for - rooms at the back typicall...

Stayed for 2 nights whilst on a tour. Rooms and bathroom on the small side, restaurant needs updating breakfast ok. Good location. Don't use laundry service unless urgent expensive and clothes dry cleaned unnecessarily( manager did give refund on dry cleaning) Perfect for short stays.

I spend three nights per week at this hotel, so It's a home away from home for me.

Pros:
Staff is very friendly and efficient. I had a couple of issues with reservations and laundry rates and in all cases they were solved promptly.
Good location for business traveller, walking distance from San Telmo (see below)
Rooms are clean and well equipped

Cons:
Rooms are small.
Gym is very poor. Located on the basement, is a very small room with few pieces of equipment.
Restaurant has not so many choices for dinner.
Area is not the safest to walk at night
Smoking floors

If you are on a business trip it is a good choice. Walking distance to business district. If you are on a stopover it is also a good choice. Many options of public transportation. If you are on vacations I think there are better options nearby.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quiter although insulation is good. For great views ask for a north room

Very good value, relatively close to Ezeiza airport. We used Grand Boulevard as a stopover hotel for one night. We were very well satisfied. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The reservations staff arranged private transfer to we non-Spanish speakers to and from the airport, and that worked flawlessly. Dinner was quite good in their restaurant. Staff during our stay was pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend it as an airport stopover hotel.
