I spent two nights. When I arrived, the hotel receptionist was telling someone looking for a room that they only had hot water from 7am to about 9am. And it was true. After around 9:30 am, the water was cold. The hotel reception didn't offer any price reduction for lack of hot water or any apology. I had booked my room in advance and there was a cancellation fee if I cancelled. Besides that, the hotel was okay - clean, basic rooms, internet, breakfast and not too far from bus/train station. It isn't in the fanciest of neighborhoods and the streets were a bit deserted at night but may have been due to it being a holiday. For single, female travelers, I would not recommend (I was traveling alone). There are not many restaurants nearby but there more available several blocks away. If there had been hot water or staff had been more apologetic for lack of hot water, I would have rated higher. Hotel wasn't expensive so I didn't expect luxury but I could have found a hotel with hot water throughout the day at the same price or lower.

Hello, first of all we want to apologize for the hot water problem, it was due to a problem in the block regarding the supply of natural gas, which caused problems with hot water, food and also heat. The problem lasted for a few weeks, so the hotel staff tried to solve the problems in the best way possible (hence the hours for taking baths and so...). In addition, we want to clarify that from the day the problem started we always warned the passengers who wanted to make a reservation of the issue, only that we couldn't warn the people who had already made a reservation, such as you. Again, we are really sorry about the inconvenience and hope you can give the hotel another chance in the future

Hotel Cuatro Reyes is a nice four star hotel on Independencia Ave, with a very service minded staff. The rooms are OK, but not really very "modern." Good breakfast Argentinian style - and they also served decent lunches and dinners during a recent conference. But: For conferences they lack simple square tables for participants to make notes!

Hello, first of all thank you for your review, and thank you for praising our staff. The rooms have been "modernized" this year so we would like to hear you opinion on it if you come back someday. Also, the breakfast and food stays the same.

My Husband and I went on vacations to Argentina a couple months ago, and when we were in Buenos Aires we stayed at the Hotel Cuatro Reyes Buenos Aires. We cannot be more satisfied!
Great prices for an outstanding service! The location was great, just a few blocks from the Famous "9th of July Avenue" that pretty much takes you everywhere. The room was really spacious and had huge windows from wall to wall where we had a view of the city! The room had WIFI, so we could upload the pics that we took during the trip to the computer for our social sites. The breakfast was unbelievable, variety of options and the food was very fresh! Important: the front desk staff speaks English! So they suggested us the best shows to attend and places to visit, so we would not miss the main attractions of Buenos Aires! Also, the hotel is pretty close to Puerto Madero, the "Brickell Avenue" of Buenos Aires. Thank you Hotel Cuatro Reyes for an incredible experience! What a pleasure!

Room Tip: Executive Suite down the Hallway! Big and Comfortable!

We've just returned from South America and spent 2 nights in this hotel. Yes, it's a bit dated, but the facilities are good. There are 3 computers with the internet in the reception area which is free of charge to use.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff work so hard in keeping it all topped up, even when it's nearing the end of breakfast time. Lovely chopped fresh fruit, yoghurt, rolls, bread (I was particularly pleased with the choice of brown/wholemeal bread, which I toasted, as I had missed that from home!), ham, cheese, scrambled egg, nice coffee, fresh orange juice, fresh pastires and amazing cakes! Everything you need really!

I totally disagree with negative reviews of this hotel - I think some people are far to spoilt and picky.

The staff and so friendly and helpful. They really appreciated us trying our limited knowlwdge of Spanish with them!

We had a room right next to the lift, but I must point out, that we could barely hear it, so we thought perhaps it had been soundproofed.

The surrounding street area is a little untidy, but we feel it was totally safe. We were out late and walked back to our hotel with no problems from the lovely locals. There are some homeless people around, but they don't bother you, they're great.

We also ate in 2 restaurants around the corner from the hotel which was great.

We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is nice, considering its rates, I'd say it is very good. It's kind of old but rooms are good, as well as breakfast. Bathrooms are good. Rooms are not fancy, but they're very good. Computers and internet are available.
The critical point is the location. The subway is close, as well as Santelmo and 9 de Julio Avenue. But specifically this block of the street is not very beautiful, although it seems to be safe. Independence Street is very nice 3 blocks away from the hotel in both directions.
