We stayed there on the first night of our honeymoon. We loved the decor and feel of the place.
The staff were friendly and the food was very good with a lot of thought taken in the presentation.
We stayed in the pool suite which was fantastic.
The hotel is central and safe, we will definitely return when next in BA

This hotel was so nice! We had a wonderful time enjoying their tranquil garden and pool in the back of the pool and cocktails in the evening. The service was great and personal. The rooms were simple, but well thought out and clean. Palermo Hollywood was a good area to stay in, lots of good streets for walkng, and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. Much better area than the downtown or San Telmo.

A beautiful hidden-away gem in Palermo. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with something different every day. The staff made all the difference in the world, so helpful and polite, and more than happy to assist with anything you could come up with.
Rooms per se are a bit uniquely decorated and this style might not suit everyone's taste, but it doesnt matter when otherwise everything is perfect.

Only comment was that according to my boyfriend there was significant noise late at night from bars (?) closing down he pressumed (our room was facing the street in front). I have to admit i personally didnt hear a single thing. Him making the comment almost every night though i felt i had to mention as well. But otherwise, let me repeat: a gem!

The setting: This hotel is in Palermo Hollywood, which is a safe, gentrified area of Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, the immediate surrounding area is rather dull. However, you are fifteen minutes by foot from Palermo Soho/Viejo, which is by far the most appealing part of BsAs, full of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel is fifteen minutes by foot from the nearest metro station on the green line. By taxi, you are a US$5-15 ride from most places in BsAs.
The hotel: The building is medium size with twenty hotel rooms. The decor is mid-century modern and the building is made of cement. There is a smallish pool in the rear of the hotel, surrounded by five pool loungers and many chairs. There is a cute garden area and cafe. The lobby has gorgeous mid-century furniture. There is an awful, bright blue, plastic fishnet mess of an art work suspended in the middle of the hotel. It's certainly poor excuse for art and completely mars the look of the ground floor.
The rooms: Decently sized, mine was a superior room facing the street on the second floor. Noise from the street was minimal. The room, like the hotel is of raw cement, floor, walls and bathroom. Wall paper adorns accent walls. There is a small TV in the room, which is an afterthought. A screen less than 20 inches is paltry; my opinion is you either go big or not at all. There is a small closet and mini-fridge. The closet is really too small to be useful. The desk area lacked a chair. The full size mirror was a nice touch. Being an avid tea drinker, not having an electric kettle in the room is a big minus. The free WiFi throughout the hotel is not terribly fast, and sluggish during heavy usage time. Guests are given slips with a trail of random numbers to log on to the net. Why management hasn't created an easy to remember password is mind boggling. I literally had to take a snap shot of the esoteric password, as each area/router in the hotel, and there many, requires the same password to be input. The bathroom is industrial cement; the shower had good water pressure but the large white tiles in the shower looked cheap. Where are the cute subway tiles? Even plain cement would have been a better choice.
The food: The complimentary breakfast is appealing: a tiny serving of yogurt, equally small serving of scrambled eggs, great croissants and cappuccinos, and two small shots of different juices. All in all tasty but you will need another meal shortly after concluding this micro-sized one. The lunch and dinner options are not too different, salads, sandwiches and some entrees. The service staff is friendly and attentive.
All in all: If you are choosing a hotel over one of many great apartment rentals, this place is THE hotel to choose. There are a few downsides, to the plethora of upsides. The most pronounced negative is that patrons off the street (not ones staying at the hotel) make the cafe feel crowded. During my five day stay, there were photo shoots and nightly clamoring crowds of diners who crowded out hotel guests. During the weekend, the brunch crowd makes it impossible to comfortably lounge by the pool. This is a boutique hotel; it is not large. The fact that management leverage the nicely designed space for public consumption, thereby inconveniencing guests and overcrowding the space is a huge downside. The owners should consider opening a restaurant in a different location instead of squeezing the small open space to above capacity. Also, be aware that mosquitoes swarm the outdoor space. I wish citronella lanterns were in use at all times. Instead, I had to nearly plead for some citronella diffusers which were used only once, when I asked, and not at any other time. Guests resort to using toxic OFF brand repellants; not a good move. The owners are frequently present at the property and their young, sometimes loud children, run around the property, certainly diminishing the cool, adult vibe of the place.
Having said all of that, I would stay at this hotel time and time again. I just hope that the owners heed some of the constructive criticism.

This is a gem of a hotel located in Palermo. There is a pool, great restaurant and super nice staff! The rooms are really big and the complimentary breakfast is both delicious and unique. Luciano at the front desk really took care of us. Best place in BA !

This was our 2nd stay at Home and we booked “The Loft” apartment adjacent to the hotel for a week in January. The airy 2 floor Loft is comfortable and private, well suited for a longer stay and furnished as shown on the hotel website. Due to the 20 ft ceiling height on the first floor, the narrow staircase is quite a climb and not suited for guests with mobility concerns. On the 2nd floor, the spacious bedroom with walkout to terrace is very pleasant and during our stay I enjoyed the option of having a private outdoor place to relax with a book. The master bath is small with bathtub/shower but it is bright and water temperature/pressure is good. The 2nd bathroom on the main floor features a walk-in shower, so both options are available. The kitchen area is minimally equipped as the majority of guests dine out. A small refrigerator is stocked as a mini-bar, but on request the contents will be removed to free space for guests own provisions.

The location and charming garden sets Home Hotel apart from other boutique hotels which have sprung up in Palermo Hollywood/Soho in recent years. During our stay, temperatures reached highs of 104 F and the privilege of being able to cool off in a lovely swimming pool is a luxury in Palermo, one cannot emphasize enough this key feature. The included breakfast is uniquely presented as an expanded continental and varies daily, a full menu service also available. The restaurant food is very good quality for breakfast and lunch. In the evening, many great restaurants and bars are just a stroll away.

Home Hotel personnel are exceptionally welcoming and service oriented. During our stay, everyone whether working reception, restaurant or housekeeping teams were friendly and helpful. Example, we requested a CD player be placed in the bedroom to have music on both levels, this was accommodated along with a stack of CD’s from the owner’s private collection that he thought we might enjoy. Every guest receives the Home Guide ... a booklet detailing excellent recommendations for dining, fashion, nightlife, tango, art galleries and insider’s tips to making the most of your visit to Buenos Aires.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Home Hotel and suggest that you will too!

This was our third stay at Home Hotel, and every bit as good as the first two. The rooms are simple and stylish, the breakfasts quirky and a delight, the background music selected by the owner modern and interesting, the staff simply fantastic - charming, friendly, helpful and knowedgeable. And every hotel should model its information on the Home Hotel booklet, a treasure trove of useful advice on where to eat and what to do.
