“Amazing Hotel”
Reviewed 30 August 2009

I spent 3 nights at Home in August whilst traveling around South America and this was the best hotel I stayed in by far. A great location, close to the bars and restaurants of Palermo, plus the friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel I stayed in by a long, long way. I can't recommend this hotel enough, you have to stay here if in Buenos Aires!

Cool, mid century modern atmosphere. Unique and really good breakfast (included). Great backyard and pool. Trendy location in Palermo Hollywood, lots of cool restaurants within walking distance and a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. Rooms are very modern (may be too modern for some tastes).

Wow. This is a great hotel in a great area (Palmero Hollywood). Lets start with the amazing breakfasts that come with the room and the secluded garden. Lets talk about the staff of the hotel who are just great. They will do anthoing for you. The design is inspiring. We loved this hotel. Also the Palmero Hollywood area that the hotel is located in is a great urban area-every restaurant that is corwded with locals is fantastic. Actually by far the best of the Buenes Aires restasurants are here in just across the tracks in Palmer Soho. This is truly a great hotel.

Definitely designer, even the other guests seemed designer. The hotel is small, boutique and not for people looking for the huge luxurious hotels but it is something different.
Located in a funky part of BA good for clothes shopping and cafes.
The location is not close to the main town area and the taxi can cost a bit to get around. Having said that we loved staying here.
The breakfast was a bit small and they did try and make it a bit too arty, I would have rather had a bigger meal but it was nice.
Has a pool out the back area with a big bar for relaxing with a cocktail.
The staff were super helpful and assisted a lot with an issue we had regarding a services were we had been ripped off elsewhere.
The room was nice but a bit small, however nothing to complain about.
We definitely enjoyed our stay here and relaxed.

I stayed with a friend at the Home Hotel for two nights, and we both would have enjoyed staying longer. We booked a suite on the top floor with a balcony, which provided a great view of the Palermo neighborhood and part of the city skyline. The room and bathroom were comfortable, spotless, and well-designed. The included breakfast was much bigger and better than we were expecting. The small hotel bar was the perfect place to start our night on the town -- Sol and Danny behind the bar were fun and friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions. We sent out laundry while staying at Home, and it came back sooner than expected looking like brand new clothes. The front desk staff were very helpful ... especially when we needed help tracking down something left in a cab. (They found it for us!)

The Palermo neighborhood is up-and-coming, with a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops. Restaurants and bars are definitely on the Buenos Aires schedule, not even opening until 8 p.m. or later. Make your plans to start after 10 for sure.

We'd love to go back!

We stayed for seven nights altogether over three periods while travelling in Argentina. We felt it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in.
The staff are welcoming and friendly. Most have excellent English. They were enthusiastic to talk and we learnt a lot about Argentina from them.
We had 3 different rooms all of which were very comfortable and nicely furnished. Bathrooms were well equipped.
Breakfast is great fun with a selection of small dishes.
Reception gave an excellent recommendations for a guided walking tour, and for a selection of local restaurants, several within short safe walking distance.
There is a driver with a comfortable car and working safety belts (unlike most BA taxis). And fares are only a little higher.

We felt safe and very well looked after. When we left we felt we were saying goodbye to friends - much kissing and shaking of hands. Outstanding

I read that this hotel was one of the best boutique hotels in Buenos Aires, and while it was a good experience, I can't say I was overwhelmed. The good... Breakfast was really good except for the eggs, they were always runny. The spa is nice to have a sauna in and a shower if you have some time, but no steam, no pedicures or manicures just facials and massage. The best part of the hotel for me was the shampoo and the bathroom that felt just like home, big bottles not those annoying throw aways, and towel warmers and nice robes.
There was wireless and a sole computer in the lobby, The staff was friendly but young and needed a bit more finesse. The location was ok, but still far from the hot part of Honduras street.
