Stark and modern hotel with hip attitude. Location is excellent, a block to D line subway and this hotel has everything you need really, except a fitness room. Rooms are white and sparse, showing a little wear and tear more noticeably due to the whiteness. Bed is super comfortable and jacuzzi tub nice. Blackout shade is excellent and needed to help block out light and sound from the street while sleeping. Early morning noise from the after hours dance club around the corner as people leave around 6 am can be a little surprising. Breakfast was very nice, with a good selection, toasters between seats and coffee made your way. Bar area is nice and a sort of home like atmosphere in the level below the lobby, makes for an interesting place to relax in the evening before your appropriately timed dinner.

Solid 3-star (+) hotel. Great location (2 blocks from D-line subway stop at Callao and across the street from a plaza and park) only a block away from Avenida Santa Fe and easy walking distance to the Recoleta Cemetery and the Corrientes Theater District. Relatively quiet location (the park caddy-corner from the hotel is frequented by dog walkers and some resulting barking) on a quiet (for downtown) street. Very helpful young staff. Secure entrance. No car park but there is a garage a block away. This is a good hotel for travelers without children who are a little experienced and not afraid of urban experiences. Also, it's not a Marriott, so don't expect Marriott swimming pools, gift shops, etc. It's an authentic, Buenos Aires boutique hotel. The rooms are clean but starting to show their age. Nice bathrooms, flat screen TV with 80 channels (several English-speaking entertainment channels) and free Wi-fi (a little slow but usable for email and Web-browsing but not for streaming movies). The breakfast is basically coffee/espresso, bread with a toaster, cheese, croissants and ham slices. Buenos Aires is not a big breakfast place and this was more than enough for us, anyway.

I visited the cE Hotel with a friend, for what we thought would be a four night stay that turned out to be a six day stay. Initially we split our trip between Argentina and Punta Del Este but shortly after arriving in Punta Del Este we were eager to return to Buenos Aires and the cE. Our entire stay was amazing from the moment we arrived until the time we left. The bathrooms were very spacious and modern with amazing rainfall shower heads. The beds and linen were in great condition -I slept like a baby every night - and you only share your floor with one other room so it was easy to catch the elevator. The breakfast spread was so delicious and the coffee was the best, so I was always eager to head downstairs in the mornings for breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, thanks again for suggesting La Cholita as a dining spot. It was walking distance from the hotel and quickly became our favorite dining spot. The location was great, even in a cab it cost no more than two dollars to get to any destination. The price of the room was great and the management staff was kind enough to not only accommodate our unexpected return with a great rate but they also gave us a free upgrade and early check-in. The hotel rooms also had a great cable package with plenty of english channels to choose from and a public computer in the lobby that was available for use. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in a lot of different countries and I absolutely loved the cE Design Hotel.

what's good? fantastic spa bath, a bed big enough for six, extremely good looking and friendly barmen, great service, good breakfast with a variety of choice, free coffee and welcome drink (beer or wine) on arrival. all in all it's a nice place to hang out and relax, you'd made to feel extremely welcome.
i thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in BA although as others have mentioned the plumbing is a little noisy and whilst it didn't bother me it might if you're sensitive to noise.

Stayed here my first two nights of a two week trip to Argentina. The hotel is very 2000 hip, decorated starkly and painted all white. Location is really super if you want to stay in Recoleta. There are numerous nearby restaurants, a couple of gyms, shopping and cultural sights. It is also close to the subway, though taxis are very reasonable and easy to find.

The rooms are pretty small and, as other travelers have noted, noise travels freely. I could easily hear conversations from the hallway and also from the room next door. The blackout blinds are key because when the sun comes up after a late night in BA, the light reflects off of the white walls and furniture like nobody's business. This also means that even the smallest scuff marks show on the walls.

Overall, it is a cute, hip hotel at a very reasonable price, in a good, safe location. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is a nice complimentary breakfast.

The hotel room was fine, if slightly small and a little noisy- we could hear the shower running in the room next door. Our room looked out onto a brick wall which didn't bother us too much as we didn't plan to spend much time in the room. The room was clean but looked like it might benefit from a lick of paint- nothing specifically wrong with it but just the consequence of being painted white.

The hotel staff were excellent, helping with booking onward travel and giving really good recommendations for a day of sightseeing and dinner! Only 1 niggle with the service was the check-out. We had pre-paid for our stay and left credit card details for any additional expenses, of which we had none, so expected to be able to check out quickly. Unfortunately I had to wait while someone went to the room to physically check if we had taken anything from the mini-bar etc. This seemed to be standard policy at this hotel, the same was done for another guest who was checking out at the same time, we found it rather strange and rather irritating as my husband was waiting for me in a taxi outside.

Found the hotel in TripAdvisor, and also have also got good tips from tourism publications. The hotel fulfilled the expectations. 24h breakfast, nice and modern rooms (clean decoration). Friendly staff. I got an upgrade because the first room's air conditioned equipment was not working well. Well located (close to Santa Fe Av, Recoleta). Some rooms have the view of the square just in front of the hotel, which is a plus for those staying there. Good price/value ratio. Have also asked for the hotel's pickup service at the airport, and it worked very well. Good car, very professional driver.
