“Great location”
Reviewed 14 December 2012

Excellent location near lots of boutique shops and quirky cafes. Tastefully decorated room with high ceilings, good shower, air con and wifi. It may be wise to take some ear plugs as some traffic noise was audible in the room. Stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast also provided.

From arrival to departure, Ariel (the innkeeper) makes certain you know the ins and outs of Buenos Aires and he looks after you. Breakfast is something to look forward to. People from all over the world, all ages and types, sharing stories, eating a very nice breakfast, discussing travel, politics, currency exchange, global warming, even philosophy. Former guests (ourselves included) come back after going to another city and retell their travel stories. The rooms are stylish, the inn is very open with the main room available for internet use at night--like a family living room. If you want to eat something instead of going out you can use cutlery and plates from the kitchen. Our room was the "master suite," with a mezzanine, lower level, and sitting area. It was huge and could sleep 4 with ease. Importantly, once inside, you don't know BA is outside. There is no noise and you sleep very well. It's a great experience.

Room Tip: Try the master suite. It's huge and worth the bit extra. The standard rooms are very nice too.

PV had a homey yet modern-hip sense of decor. The location, just a few minutes walk to SoHo Palermo, was in the heart of it all without been loud nor annoying. Ariel, the owner and manager, was gracious, hospitable, and knowledgeable...and at times quite funny! My friend and I plan on returning to Buenos Aries and hope PV has an open space.

Note: the deluce de leche at breakfast accounted for at least one (1) pound of gain!!!

Room Tip: The 2-tier loft space with the black and white decor was great.

We had a great stay there and enjoyed the room(s), the breakfast, the discussions with other guests and mostly Ariel the owner. It is calm and there is AC which is nice as days can get hot in BA. We would def. go back there if we have a chance to go to BA again.

Highly recommended.

Thanks again :-)

This place is like being at home. When we got there we didn't get how it was like realy, but after a few hours, we've just felt so comfortable, like being at home.
The atmosphere is so calm, and although the B&B was full at the time we were there, it is very quiet, it is nice to meet people and exchange some experiences that made us decide what to do the following day.
Breakfast is well served, and it was great to share the table with people from all over the world. If you are not in the mood of this, you can have your breakfast in the garden or even in your room.
Suggestion: if your are going to leave early the check out day, it is better to tell the owner (well, he will ask you anyway!) as we got a light breakfast served from the night before. Super, and very unusual. Was great.
In this place, they really take care of you!

Room Tip: Ask the owner for local tango shows

The owner and his staff are really helpful and caring. Buenos Aires can be a little daunting to navigate initially and Ariel's help and attention to detail is so useful. They have really made this trip a great experience.

The room is comfortable with a tv, AC and safe. It is located in a great neighbourhood, close to tango shows and dancing 1/2 block, leather good outlet shops 12 blocks, restaurants within 5 minute walk, subway 10 or 20 minute walk.

Palermo is by far the best place to visit in Buenos Aires! Bars, restaurants and boutique shops galore!!

Arriving at Palermo Viejo B@B it was very anonymous but stepping inside the doors we soon realised the place was wonderful. Rooms are styled beautifully and comfort is prime! Breakfast was yummy ... Home made marmalade and bread was well received. It is also easy to get to other areas and sights in BA. Ariel the owner is a wealth of knowledge and we enjoyed breakfast chats with him very much!

Enjoy..... We certainly did!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Stylish B&B in the heart of Palermo Viejo/Soho. The house is located in a 1901 building, traditional of those days in Buenos Aires neighborhoods. The Casa Chorizo has been renewed keeping its original style. High ceilings, brick and thick walls are one of the details to mention. As a narrow landmark the rooms are organized in a row, facing the side patio/garden full of green where hanging out after a long day is a must. All the rooms have private en-suite bathroom and two of them are big enough with a double level to accommodate more than two people, perfect for 3 or 4. The art work of different artists is found everywhere in the property which gives it a Bohemian atmosphere. The decor is simple, where each item was found in flea markets and auctions to make the B&B a warm and a perfect place to feel at home away of home. ... more   less
