so i had a 12 hour layover in BA, and looked this place up and dropped in.

HOLY HELL.....i accept all of the above reviews--good and bad. i first arrived to what appeared to be a army of young ones trying to drink themselves to death. i slowly made my way to the back of the bar on the first floor and had a beer. the fact that i asked for a real beer in a glass as opposed to a gallon of beer prompted the bartender to ask where i was from. i said ¨dallas¨. he replied, that he was from new hampshire and was there bartending for a few months. so i had a few beers with him and just stood back and watched the mayham.

it felt like a frat party at school but with even younger people. some of the guys are older and i presume they are here picking up younger girls....much younger girls. and the girls are DRUNK and aggressive. one very cute one even grabbed my baseball cap off and tried to walk away. i quickly grabbed it back. she seemed disappointed and asked why i didnt want her. i didnt have an answer.

i slowly made my way up to the second floor. no go. completely packed. standing room only.

i made it to the third floor where there was even more craziness. quarters games or the such. but the place was alive and fun.

yes its crowded. yes its noisy. but if you want crazy, noisy, busy and full of action. go here.

and if you dont, dont go. be forewarned.

do go to this bar, expecting a quiet time---do not fool yourself.

take it for what it is and thats all. by the way, i witnessed this craziness on a WEDNESDAY night.

I've been there with my friends last friday and to be honest I had a terrible experience.
First of all, the service is really terrible especially the security guards are such rude persons. They charge 50 pesos at least to get in, if you don't paid you don't get in. It so unbelievable crowded, you cannot even dance or have space for yourself. If you are going there as a girl, be prepared to have your hair smelling really really really bad after.
Definitely not worth it, there is so many better places to go in Buenos Aires.

We were looking for a spot to watch Texas A&M play the first game of the season. I had searched online and read that it was a good place to watch US Sports. I also asked a few people on tours when we arrived in Buenos Aires and they also recommended it. We headed over on Saturday and found that it is located in a nice neighborhood and is a cute place. Dark, dive bar feel with a great bar menu (mostly mexican food) that is homemade. We had the wings which were pretty good and nachos. The Salsa was really good..like Texas "texmex" good. I was pretty surprised. Really affordable, amazing service and tons of big screen TVs. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a spot to watch US Sports!

I really like the bar.
If you pay 50 pesos you will drink beer all night at Alamo.

For those who doens't like to smoke I do not recomend, cause it's ok to smoke inside the bar...

It's always full of people, many tourists.
I liked and recomend.

A great American sporta bar hidden off the street. A good place to meet other Americans traveling along with what seemed to be fluent Argentinians, making it easier to communicate. (Or at least for non Spanish speakers like myself) The smoke aspect is something you will find in just about any bar in BA so dont be intimdated. The food is good and relatively cheap. Great place to catch some American sports, or any for that matter!
