Gustavo's Bed and Breakfast in Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay when in B.A. We thoroughly enjoyed the pride that Gus took in presenting the room well, and the place was miraculously clean. The breakfast was also nice with cereals, excellent baked goods, tea, milk, orange juice, etc. Gus also took valuable time out of his schedule to tell us about local attractions, such as Esquina Carlos Gardel (the tango show), and many great local restaurants, such as Los Cabras. The rate of the room was a great deal when we stayed, and the location of the place is close to local subway stations to reach other barrios in the city. You can also walk to Recoleta Cemetery or Plaza San Martin, which we recommend. These are a bit farther from the place though, and many might be inclined to take a taxi - although we walked. Gus has been are favorite host so far on AirBnB. He was always helpful and available, and I highly recommend him. Like nearly anywhere else in city (B.A. is a huge city), it could be a bit loud in the evenings with passing traffic, etc. Bring some earplugs in case you're a light sleeper. Overall, it's a great deal, and if I make it back to B.A., I'll look Gus' way.

Great stay and service. The host was very helpful organising our transfer. The accommodation was excellent, the bed very comfortable and spacious room. The breakfast with home made croissants was delightful. My husband and I will come back and recommend to our friends.

The place is really comfortable, clean and central. Gus makes sure his guests have everything they need during their stay. Also great for couples enjoying BsAs. The breakfast is also a plus.
Would definitely stay there again when returning to the city.

I stayed a full 9 days at Gustavio's place, with my 24 year old daughter and it was the perfect pick. The location is fabulous, close to every interesting section of the city with the advantage of being out of the way of the numerous tourists. Gustavio's place is always kept impeccably clean. We were able to enjoy the kitchen when we wanted to and always woke up to lovely breakfasts prepared by Gustavio himself. He was always there to counsel if needed and available when necessary ( which is quite remarquable...and important when you're travalling) A very homely place with a very attentive, helpful and friendly host.
I greatly recommend this place. You will assuredly enjoy your stay!

We stayed together with my friend at Gustavo's place on three occasions. Before arriving in Buenos Aires, we had plan to do couchsurfing, stay at friends and move around, yet we ended up staying for almost two weeks at Gustavo's for a few reasons, but mainly because he is the most welcoming host we have witnessed since our arrival 4 months ago in South America! Gustavo is entertaining and has a very welcoming posture. His flat is extremely clean, and Gustavo provided bath robe, little bottles of shampoo & soap, and purified water. For future stay I will definitely contact Gustavo and would recommend anyone, on a budget or not, with a friend, parent or as couple to go to Gustavo's place!
