It does have a good location. The area feels safe, is central to a lot of good areas and places to eat and drink near by, easy to catch the buses or just walk to from here. However, the room was not exactly much to write home about.
It had no natural light, was so hot (and this was in autumn) and muggy inside the room. The only window was in the bathroom which the housekeepers kept open. That meant the mosquitos were all over in the room. B/C it was so hot inside, I couldn't stay under the covers and was eaten alive all night. Just didn't feel like the place was very clean, and wasn't totally comfortable leaving stuff in the room (safe didn't work). The second night I had to go down to reception after hours of tossing and turning and unable to sleep, and begged for a room with air conditioning that worked. The guy just said, 'oh, I can turn it on from here'. What? Really? Okay, so the front desk has say on air conditioning and they don't mention that when you check in. Well, with the air conditioning on, it sounded like a 747 was landing next to my bed. so you're either going to not sleep b/c its hot and humid in your room, or because the air conditioning unit is roaring louder then a freight train.More
