We have already rated Vain hotel from our stay two years ago. We were very satisfied with the hotel then and we are still very satisfied with the boutique hotel.
We booked a Superior room facing the inside hall and not the street. The room is large, very good bed, good place for your clothes, nice bathroom with very good shower. We stayed at Vain hotel for seven days. The breakfast is very good. You have your own breakfast menu where you have different choices. They remembered every morning our special requirements as "extra toasted bread", "fruit", "black coffee" (served three or four cups every morning) and they always asked if we wanted anything more. You will not be hungry after breakfast. You have wifi in the room that works very well and if you need any advise about Buenos Aires the staff at the reception will help you out with everything.
Thank you very much Vain, your staff did it again!

We had a fabulous experience in Buenos Aires. This hotel was the perfect home base. I meet a group of people in BA for 8 days and we chose this hotel. We couldn't have landed Ina better place. The room and hotel are clean, beautiful, cozy with a flair of authenticity and elegance. The service the staff provided went well beyond that of standard hotel hospitality.
Thank you for making my first experience so amazing. I will be back and I will stay here.
Truly, Dawn

The staff were so hospitable at this sweet hotel in Polermo Soho. Ideally located and sheltered from street noise, the marble hallways made for some acoustic challenges from other guests talking and walking in the hallways late at night / early in the morning after enjoying the BA nightlife. The room was light and spacious. The Jacuzzi tub was a nice idea, but didn't hold water for long, and some of the jets didn't work, so not a big selling point. The breakfasts were outstanding and included. The price was right!

I stayed for 4 nights in this boutique hotel in Palermo Soho. Great free breakfast included, free wifi, a complimentary drink, and a great staff. The staff were very friendly - they booked our tango show, taxis, restaurants, and printed our boarding passes when asked. Their command of English was very good as well. The decor is Ikea modern and standard, the roof deck was nice for taking in the sun and a glass of Malbec. The value was good for the price and the location was 5 mins from the subway at Plaza Italia which is in front of the Zoo and Botanical Gardens. It was also a 5-10 minute walk to prime Palermo Soho shopping and dining. Parilla La Cabrera is a must in this neighborhood. I also liked Don Julio.

I stayed in Vain Boutique Hotel in two opportunities between August and September. Both times were excellent experiences. Rooms are comfortable, functional and clean. Staff is always nice and willing to help. WiFi connection worked properly. Breakfast was just amazing, one of the best I've ever had; if you have the opportunity, try the "Huevos Benedict". Location was good since it was close to the company I was visiting, but also there is metro station nearby. Lots of restaurants of all styles in the neighborhood, although Palermo is not quite a cheap area. Some small supermarkets are close too. One single point of improvement: in the room I was in during my first stay I couldn't control the temperature so I had to call the reception. Other than that, it's just perfect!

You are right! Benedict egg is a great option to start the day.
Heating and air conditioner can be controlled from all rooms too, maybe the receptionist forgot to tell you how to use it, sorry about that.
We are really hoping to have you as our guest again on your next visit to Buenos Aires!

Probably a hot tip, when it was new, but now you feel that it has seen its best days and living of the past. It's still an ok average hotel with very friendly staff and a good location, but if you're looking for an exclusive boutique experience you won't find it at this place. Overall it's a good option, but nothing great.

I moved to this hotel because I wanted to be closer to the 'subte' station in Plaza Italia. I found the location to be good but the hotel to be generally average. It seemed like they'd not really made much of an effort with the upkeep, it was quite bare, furniture was chipped, I had a stain on my sheet, the plug outlet was loose and the heating was controlled centrally so you had to call reception to have it switched on or altered. I found the staff to be varied from friendly to uninterested depending on the person but appreciated the little touches they had like mini chocolate boxes and a daily weather report. The living room on the third floor with free internet was a godsend, it was so nice to be able to use internet even though I hadn't brought my own personal computer. I was gluten free and they provided me with crispbread but other than that I didn't feel like they made a huge effort and I was hungry not long after breakfast. I wouldn't stay there again because I didn't feel it was value for money.

Thank you for your comment, it always useful to have a feedback of our guests.
We actually do our best to keep with the maintenance of the hotel. Moreover, we have maintenance staff working all year-round, especially in low season. So, maybe what you saw was actually "work in progress" regarding maintenance... we do our best for it to not interfere with our guests, but sometimes it's difficult, especially in the common areas. Apologizes for the inconvenience.
The plug problem was already solved when I checked the room after you left and our air-conditioning system can be individually controlled from each room, so you probably were not properly informed by our receptionist... apologizes for this too.
About the stain on your sheet... we regularly check for permanent stains to discard those sheets or towels, but we might have overseen that one, and we will try to find the one when it comes back from the laundry... sorry about that.
I am really surprised about your comment about the staff and our breakfast... I do remember you being helped with a problem you had at the post office, and also with the gluten-free food... and in this respect, our breakfast has actually very different options including eggs (cooked at the time they are requested by our guests), puddings, bread and marmalade (the 3 of them homemade), fresh orange juice, daily croissants, espresso coffee and flavored tea... and everything is included and no-limit! of course the option for gluten-free is more limited in choices, but no in quantity... but I see it didn't work out for you... apologizes again.
