This place is truly amazing! My friends and I have become huge fans ever since we went there last year. It is now our weekly hang out place.
Not only you can eat really fabulous food ( they have a variety of pizzas and empanadas that are just out of this world and some really tasty gourmet dishes), they also have an amazing bar, with affordable prices.
In addition, you can catch a different show every night, from tango and swing to piano sessions and stand up comedy.
The staff is super friendly and you can meet really cool people.
I guess that’s why can’t stop coming back!!

This place is awesome. Every night you walk inside, is a surprise. It's not just that there a different "theme" everyday (tango, swing dancing, stand up comedy, among others), you can go with the idea of enjoying one show, then you go to another room in the back, and there is another very different thing going on. You can go swing dancing, enjoy a live grand piano concert, all with a fine drink on your hand, and all affordable.
Most live music shows are "a la gorra" (put the money in the hat) and people are very friendly.
Another great thing is the envirement. The owners are very easy-going guys, and they make you feel like you are having a gathering in someone's livingroom.
Food is very good, regular argentinean food mostly but my favorite thing about the place is the drinks. Fine whisky selection, and beer with the exact temperature you need.
A must-see kind of place, unique in the city

Went to Sr. Duncan last night with a friend who knows the owners. This is exactly how a bar should be; a relaxed unpretentious place with bags of character, run by friends who are doing what they love. It's a really sociable place. My girlfriend got shown a bit of tango from a random and we ended up chatting to all sorts of interesting people. Wish I lived in BA so I could go back!

Tuesday is the Tango night. Thursday is the Swing one. They've got live music and classes 'a la gorra' (voluntary $ contribution). The wooden floor saloon is perfect to practice and the atmosphere overall is amazing. They've got a piano room too with live music and even Stand Up evenings. Super friendly staff, huge variety of drinks and beer is always served very cold which is a treat after a sweaty dancing session.

I've been to Sr Duncan a couple of times now and it never disappoints. They have live music nights, and swing classes on a Thursday. It's a bar for locals, so it's great if you're travelling and don't just want to go to the touristy spots or the expat bars. In fact, if you're an expat it's a perfect place to meet locals and try out your Spanish. Quite a young crowd - 25-35 at a guess. The walls are painted in all sorts of quirky designs, plus Indian style throws adorn the walls giving it colour and a cosy atmosphere. The building itself is a beautiful old high ceilinged italian place with some wonderful original features. The food is just good, tasty argentinian stuff like empanadas.
