just returned from a week in Buenos Aires. This hotel was well worth the money, which wasn't much, $108 per night. Basically a studio apartment, full kitchen, dining table, couch, queen size bed, terrace, nice bathroom, good closets. Nice breakfatst each morning(included). Not actually in Palermo, really in Barrio Norte although they run into each other. 1 1/2 blocks to Avenida Santa Fe, a main shopping area.

After lots of research I decided on this hotel based on other reviews and wanting to stay in a particular area. The area was ok, but after being there now, I would choose somewhere closer to the downtown or Recoleta area. For me, I like to be where the action is and be able to walk out the front door and have sightseeing "stuff" right there. It was still a quick cab ride or short subway ride away..... I did a lot of walking too...which is still do-able. The subway stop is a short walk away and a cheap form of transportation! From the domestic airport to the hotel, the cost was about $12 Cdn. which was pretty good. The cost for a cab to the international airport at the end of my trip was 120 Arg. Pesos... well worth it......
The front desk was very helpful in organizing day trips for me and answering any questions I had. They spoke very good English. There was also 2 computers in the lobby for guest use, which was very convenient! The room itself was amazing! Great size and good decor....and comfy bed!!!!! I would stay here again.

We started our two weeks in Argentina with 2 nights at the hotel. We arrived a bit cranky after a long overnight flight, especially since the tour company had messed up the transfer, but were quickly revived by friendly staff who allowed us a room hours before the check in time and upgraded us to a suite. It was a good place to unwind and get our bearings. Quiet, but close to lots of activity. Room for two couples to socialize: on the terrace or balcony - both rooms overlooked the pool - or inside with kitchen, table, couch.

We loved this hotel. We spent 3 nights. The bed was comfy. We had a full kitchen, kitchen table/chairs, sofa, tv, ac and a balcony which overlooked the swimming pool. Two computers downstairs provided free internet. The guys at the front desk were very knowledgeable and were able to converse in English. We were two blocks away from Alto Palermo Mall, two blocks away from the subte on Avenida Santa Fe. A huge Coto supermarket was within walking distance, as was the Recoleta Cemetery. Breakfast was good and everything was constantly replenished. All the employees at this hotel were positive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we return to BA.

The hotel is located in a quite/quaint neighborhood just off Santa Fe where there is tons of shopping and cafes! Then, across the street is a local market with fresh fruits, water, and snacks. The staff was excellent and spoke English very well.

Loved this place!!! Clean, very spacious and nice!!!

We spent 4 nights at Ayres de Palermo over Christmas last year. The apartment itself was great, spacious and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the pool area. Buffet breakfast was pretty much standard fare, with the option of eating at small tables inside or going out by the pool. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, although not overly so, and the whole place had a relaxed and homely feel. Convenient location, with a subte station less than 10 mins walk away, taking you to the city centre in around 12 mins. Also round the corner from a large shopping centre and a very busy street of shops, bars and restaurants. There's also a little supermarket right opposite and a few other neighbourhood bars and shops in the surrounding blocks. Would definitely recommend, although I would be tempted to pick Ayres de Recoleta instead next time, due to its more central location.

We stayed at Ayres de Palermo twice while on a vacation in October 08. The first room was a good size and faced the street, and luckily road noise turned out not to be an issue. The second room was larger and looked over the pool, and was delightfully quiet and bright. It would have been great for a multi-week stay, if only we had that long! The front desk staff was very helpful and spoke good English; the breakfast staff was very cheerful each morning. The breakfast itself was adequate.

We found the location to be convenient and safe. Buenos Aires is large and the taxis are inexpensive, but from here we used the Subte (5 minute walk) and buses more often. And we did a lot of walking from here, to Recoleta or the Japanese Garden for example, to see the city on foot. These might be a little too far away for most to walk, but it is an option for a nice day.

Overall this was our favorite of the places we stayed in Argentina. It was a little more expensive than our other choices which were more B&B, and it justified the price with the space, service, and location. We will stay here again when we return.
