The place serves good sandwiches, prices are not too excessive, and portions are abundant! Not the best restaurant in Buenos Aires, but is still a good option!

Really good place near the hippodrome and the Bosques de Palermo.
The food is great, the drinks are good, the waiters are really nice.
Even if it's expensive, it's worth all the money you spend there.

My personal favorites: Kansas chicken, Caesar salad, ribs, 3 nuts brownie.

Other thing: you have to get there really early, because they don't take reservations, not even if you're Barack Obama haha and it gets packed really fast.
Suggestion: happy hour is until 7, so go for a drink and them take a table for dinner.

Over the last ten years I have been to Kansas several times, mostly for lunch. At first I really enjoyed their hamburgers so I usually had a cheeseburger with bacon and fries for a long long time. Approximately two years ago I guess they changed their hamburger buns supplier since its not the same, the bread falls apart and it is almost impossible to eat your burger with your hands, as I think is the best way to enjoy a burger. I have also noticed carelessness on the cleanliness of the restaurant in general: cloth napkins have a strong greasy smell, seats at the boxes are sticky, glasses and cups are poorly washed, etc etc
Yesterday we returned after some months and unfortunately things are getting worse, I ordered a caesar salad with chicken bites and the chicken was horrible, they had a stale taste, the explanation I find is that probably it was fried in overused oil. The burger my husband ordered was not any different from one you eat at a McDonalds. The restaurant ... smelled bad. I really do not like to write bad reviews but ...you can go and try for yourself!

This american-style grill smack on av.Libertador is tremendously popular with locals, although the huge interior somewhat lacks charm and atmosphere. The food is not bad though (although not spectacular either), it is a good alternative to ubiqitous meat (although you will find a few steak options on the menu as well). Desserts are huge, definitely for sharing. Service is rather laid-back, do not expect the class of some traditional parillas. I was surprised by a huge crowd waiting for a table on a Saturday noon, my guess was the waiting time must have been at least one hour, if not more. And after my visit, I´d say I would not have waited that long - even though the view of the kitchen provides quite a good spectacle while waiting. Another queue to park, and yet another to pick-up the car spoil the entire experience even further.

Why would anyone go to this trendy restaurant where they have capture the American style of cooking and the bad service. In a city like Buenos Aires, where the plethora of restaurant allow you to be served and fed like a king, why anyone would go to Kansas to wait for over 1 hour and then get served as if you were in a cafeteria. The food is mediocre, and if I wan to eat brownies I would have stayed in North America. Trendy, yes. Located on Libertador Ave. you can be seen and see what is happening in the city. Over priced, of course. Visiting any of the smaller restaurants in Palermo Hollywood would get a better buck for your money and dinning experience.
