The reviews for this hotel/hostel are average so on booking this hostel I remained open minded but booked it because of how cheap it was and wanting to watch our pennies.
On arrival all was good and our room was very pleasant with ensuite facilities (something we hadn't paid for) we also had a fan which was very much needed. The hotel/hostel was very clean and run by a local family who despite speaking no English were very friendly. There are 2 kitchens, which are basic but both have a large refrigerator. The location is excellent and San Telmo is just wonderful with ample bars and restaurants, many with live tango shows (some which are free). The markets on Sunday are definitely worth a wonder around and start on the doorstep of this hotel. The only thing which was annoying was we wanted to stay for longer and despite booking.com saying there was availability the owner said there wasn't. (I complained to booking.com). Also no towels are provided! But honestly if you want somewhere cheap and central this in my opinion is a very good place to stay.
