The whole setting of a restaurant in an old Italian deli, and its ability to maintain this quality despite the burgeoning Palermo Soho were so charming and we were excited to visit. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes (locals seemed to all order 3 things - this pizza/quiche like looking pie, the fried calamari and some type of rib dish) but the items we ordered completely fell off the mark and I must say we did not enjoy our meal very much. We did enjoy sitting inside though because it was a setting you don't experience often. Perhaps the trick is to look at what the locals order and stick to those. Do not order the rice & meat dishes, they are alright, but nothing to rave about. Also note of caution - what Americans usually consider "calamari" at this restaurant is not fried. They have a menu item with 'fried squid' which is what you should order if you want the fried kind.
