“Wonderful little hotel in Palermo Soho district of Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

We stayed at the Mine boutique hotel for three nights during our stop-over in Buenos Aires on the way to Tierra del Fuego and had a wonderful stay. We were lucky to have a room as the place looked really packed. It is very conveniently located in a lively yet quiet area of Buenos Aires. The facilities have everything you would expect with a comfortable bed and a nice and clean bathroom. The lobby and other public areas have a nice and modern design, which gives it a warm atmosphere. The breakfast was of very good quality and diversity, with cooked dishes on option. On top of that all staff were full of attention and helpful at all times, be it to get a cab or recommend a restaurant in the neighborhood. Really a great place to be recommended.

We stayed here for three nights during our trip to Buenos Aires and had a great stay. The first thing that we noticed when we walked in was how fresh the hotel smells. It's a little detail, but after coming off of a long flight and landing in a dirty city, we loved the fresh scent that greeted us.

The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us a map of the city and showing us the "must see" places. They provided us with a long list of recommended restaurants, bars and tango shows, too. I already had two places in mind that I wanted to try, and they were able to make reservations at both without a problem.

Our room was modern and very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was updated and clean, too. The balcony is very small and it was a tight fit for two people to be out on it at the same time. I would recommend requesting a room on the pool side of the building though, as we were on the street side and in the mornings, it was a little noisy. Not intolerable, but if you like silence, I'd recommend requesting another room.

The complimentary breakfast was pretty good, offering meats and cheeses, fruits, cereals various breads, and made to order eggs. The coffee was a little weak, but it was free so we couldn't complain.

We didn't use the pool area, but it's very small and doesn't look like it gets much sunshine due to the height of the buildings around it. Still, it looked like a cool spot to relax and have a cocktail.

I also LOVED the turn down service, which includes a weather report for the next day and two small chocolates. Again, it's the little details!

The location of the hotel was prime - right in the heart of Palermo Soho and within walking distance of a ton of great cafes, shops and restaurants. It was a little bit of a jont to get to downtown and the Puerto Madero area - maybe a 20 minute cab ride?

We'd definitely recommend this spot!

Room Tip: I'd recommend a room that is not on the street side of the building. Ask for a pool side room on...

An altogether wonderful three day stay at this small hotel. No complaints, very friendly, competent staff, willing to assist with any need. Because of my husband's mobility problem, they helped us find restaurants which met our desire for good food and were within close walking distance.
Breakfasts were served from 7:30 for early risers to 10:00 for sleep in days. Buffet was varied with lots of fresh fruit and also eggs to order and/or pancakes from the grill. Would definitely recommend especially for those interested in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the small pool looking to an ivy covered wall across. It was room 104, a good...

I stayed here with my wife, in our honey moon.
They prepared the room with flowers, chocolates and candles, as I said the reason of the stay.
The days that followed couldn't be better: breakfast simple, with few options, but everything was delicious. Two or three days, we decided to have lunch in the hotel: very nice menu too.
The hotel is a little bit far from downtown but 5 minutes taxi takes you there.
The neighborhood is very calm and you can find some good restaurants.
Ps: my say was in May 2012.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms facing the street.

We loved the location in trendy Palermo viejo and the decor was modern and different. The rooms were a bit small, as were the common areas, although we tended to spend little time in them. There is a pool, but again it's too small for anything more than a dunk and as BA was going through the most incredible heatwave when we were there, that was a disappointment.
We had an evening flight back to the UK and it was unfortunate that the hotel couldn't offer us somewhere to shower or even wash and change, without charging us for another room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and all in all it was a comfortable stay.
