Owner description: Guapa Polo invites you to enjoy a day out at a beautiful ranch in the Argentine countryside, just 50 minutes from Buenos Aires. Here a professional polo player will teach you the basics of polo. You'll even participate in a polo match (whether you're a riding pro or have never ridden before). A traditional Argentine barbecue, with fine Argentine wines, is included in the price, as is pick-up and drop-off.

A great experience - even for those (like me) who know nothing about polo. We had a fantastic time.

If you are looking for an authentic day out close to Buenos Aires, with polo, a real asado, magnificent wine and charming people - Guapa Polo is the perfect choice! Marcelo, a professional polo player, is a kind and patient teacher - even those who have never been on a horse before will be able to play at the end of the lesson (trust me, I wouldn't have believed it for myself and I did!).
The estancia is delightful and the whole arrangement is far from the touristy feeling that can be found in other places. Our day ended with a lovely lunch with not only different cuts of meat but also fresh salads and vegetables, all accompanied by good Argentinian wine and company! Thanks guys, we'll be back!

“Authentic and charming Polo Experience”

During a trip to Argentina, my boyfriend and I were interested in learning polo and experiencing one of the key aspects of Argentine polo and while searching for a good place to go for the day, i came across the newly established Guapa Polo in Time Out magazine. I have had polo lessons before in Argentina and had been disappointed as many charge you a lot of money to take you to a field 2 hours outside the capital, where the teacher speaks little english and then send you back after a few hours. Guapa Polo was the complete opposite of this- we were picked up from your hotel by Marcelo (argentine) and Clemmie, his girlfriend (english) and driven 45 minutes away to a beautiful old estancia. On arrival we had coffee and cake and Marcelo then explained in detail how to hold the reins and the stick and ride a polo horse. Very important for beginners and even intermediates. We then spent a few hours stick and balling before playing a short game. I had never expected to be able to play a game after only a few hours but the horses were so well behaved and teaching good that we forgot any nerves and it got quite competitive! After the game, we headed into the house for a long lunch of asado (cooked on an open fire) and some excellent red wine before being taken back to our hotel at the end of the day. Marcelo and Clemmie were both wonderful hosts and gave us a really interesting and personal insight into polo and life in argentina. Highly recommended.
