A alleged resort with the feel of an inner city cheap hotel...stained carpets (even in the main hallway), old towels, poor housekeeping, cheap cable, old furniture (even in the main areas), less than avg restaurant (mediocre breakfast, lunch and dinner are a hit or miss depending on what you order or the waiter you get). They are all very nice but very young and poorly trained. The front desk was ok but the hotel has uncommon policies like no irons in the room and none to borrow until after 6am when the maids come in. Check-in on Sundays is 7 pm (but it says it nowhere). Internet connection acceptable but not great. Finally, no food or shopping nearby so you need a taxi ride or your own car. Not ideal for the business traveler.

I was very surprised and impressed. It's a lovely hotel with very friendly staff and excellent rooms
. It's close to the Polo world. Although the breakfast was a little less than lavish they did come up with gluten free alternatives in minutes. Overall fabulous value for money. Will revisit.

We stayed here for three nights. We found the hotel to be lacking atmosphere. The rooms, service and food were very average verging on poor. With the exception of Santiago on the Front Desk who was extremely helpful, the staff were disinterested. Lovely pool area. Nothing immediately around the hotel, but a short cab ride (10 mins) from a shopping mall and restaurants. We'd originally been booked at the Sheraton, but got a call a couple of days before to say they couldn't honour our booking which is how we ended up at the Howard Johnson.
