It wasn't busy and I didn't get no service at all. Bathrooms were clean. Nice fireplace. Food was ok. I would never eat there again. I did not like da vibe. I felt un wellcome

“Fun place , great for friends”

Wents with friends after Golf, course was great bTW, went on Friday fish and chips night, so was busy and service was understandably slow. Great fun atmosphere I would go back next visit.
Prices reasonable.

“Decent Food, Good Atmosphere, Erratic Service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2013

We’ve eaten at the Duke Golf Course’s Silver Spur Grill several times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but the service is a little haphazard and the prices are a tad high for a golf course restaurant:

Atmosphere/Décor.
- The Silver Spur is invitingly decorated in a western theme, with great views of the course and the mountains to the west. A fireplace in the middle adds to the hominess and there is lots of outside seating. The vibe is definitely casual – it is a golf course eatery after all.

Food.
- Good burgers although a little pricey for a golf course at $10, the accompanying coleslaw was too dressed for my liking. The Silver Spur Salad with walnuts, cranberries, roasted red peppers, tomatoes and goat cheese with chicken was very good ($12). Our favorite dish is the Southwest Potato Skins (4 for $9) – they have chicken, roasted chilies, topped with pepper jack cheese and are very good!

Service.
- All of the staff is very friendly and enthusiastic, but consistency is lacking. On our first visit we had had to track the waitress down to get our check. On our next visit the restaurant was pretty busy, but there was only one waitress – who did an awesome job! On our last visit the manager or head chef told us we could sit outside, but after a 10 minute wait with no service we moved inside. There we were immediately waited on, but could not help but notice there was 5-6 waitresses at the bar area laughing and carrying on. In fairness I think we were there during shift change, and there was a small tournament going on, however that does not forgive the fact that we had to ask for silverware, the condiment bottles were dirty, the slat in the shaker was rock hard – and our dish did not have the salsa or sour cream it was supposed to have. Again the waitress are all super friendly, but there is a definite lack of management oversight.

Bar/Happy Hour.
- A fully stocked bar with several draft beers on hand. Unfortunately they do not offer any type of happy hour, which is really surprising as it is the only sit-down restaurant in the Rancho El Dorado subdivision.

“Golf Course Restaurant”

Nice sitting on the deck mid January watching the sun go down. I had the Fish & Chips. Battered more like Japanese style and generous portions. I also went there for a breakfast. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere especially if you love to golf.

“Not Impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2013

We waited quite a while for someone come to our table w/menu, water or a "hello". Ordered the daily special stated by waitress to be chic parmesan, fresh veggies, salad and french bread. Was served chic parmesan, spaghetti, dinner roll and a salad that consisted of only lettuce and a few strands of purple cabbage....no carrots, cukes or tomatoes. I had anticipated that it would be at least french or italian bread. I asked why we got spaghetti w/the chicken [another pasta???] instead of the veggies. She said that is what the kitchen put on there. The chicken was rubbery. Must have been frozen breaded patties. Ordered a glass of moscato wine. Was shocked to see that the small glass [< a cup] was $7.00. We won't be back anytime soon.
