Don't let the name distract you. It is called Ritz but this hotel has nothing in common with the high end luxury hotels. Ritz Cordoba is an old-school and old-fashioned hotel with spacious rooms (last renovation was probably in the 1980'-s). If you'd like that everything must be in order and all the lamps and machinery (for example aircon) in the rooms should work perfectly then this hotel is NOT for you.
First of all the things we did not like: aircon was on and it was almost impossible to turn it off (finally we succeeded), the rooms desperately need a renovation, the breakfast was not included in the price.
Despite of all that, we strangely liked the hotel. The pink old school tapestry suited well with other pink things in the room, it was kind of strange and funky room. And it was clean and quiet. We loved the dark and squeaky-floored corridors. The staff was very welcoming and funny, the jokes were flying the moment we arrived at the reception. The location was excellent - couple of blocks from Cordoba's main square. And we could park our car into the hotel's indoor garage.
We have seen couple of these "once-high-end" hotels during our trip to Argentina. We stayed in one in Salta (quite expensive) and saw one is Uspallata (ridiculously expensive). But Ritz Cordoba is cheap, very cheap. If you pay a lot for a room then all these deficiencies annoy you but in Ritz we did not let these bother us and enjoyed our stay in this old school hotel with a great name.
And if we go back to Cordoba one day then I think that Ritz will be on the top of our hotel list.
