It is not in the middle of downtown Cordoba, but there is no reason for you to be there as you can take a quick taxi ride to the city in minutes for little money. And half a day there would suffice. Cordoba is an ugly city. Its historic centre is picturesque and interesting, but all around it there are cheap and ugly shops and people. Streets are narrow, and broken down, and the pedestrian streets unremarkable and plain ugly to say the least.
Yet the Sheraton has 2 advantages: a) it is not in the centre; b) it is right next door, almost an extension of the hotel, to one of the nicest busiest malls in the city which means you can for a stroll after hours in safety. Not something you can say easily in this ugly city.
The Sheraton proper is a good solid 4 star hotel. Very big rooms, nice views, excellent WiFi, great bedding, and overall good amenities. Breakfast is excellent, there is a nice gym and you can park your rental car (if you have one, which I recommend to travel around Cordoba province) parking in the hotel is very inexpensive, and you can go from the garage to the lobby by internal lift.
I would highly recommend it if you happen to be in Cordoba.More
