“Out of this world!”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

I had arranged a private wine tour in Uco Valley and, as part of it, the tour included a fixed menu lunch at O'Fournier. What an amazing experience. You are presented with four different wines to taste, along with an appetizer, main course and dessert. I started with a very interesting appetizer that featured fresh vegetables and a poached egg inside the skin of a fried potato. I didn't know what to expect, but it was delicious!

The entrée was a huge cut of filet mignon that was cooked to perfection. I asked for it to be cooked very rare and it was done to perfection. They didn't offer chimmichurri (a local sauce you put on beef) but if you ask they will bring it and their chimmichurri was probably the best I've ever had. Dessert was pears with a malbec sauce along with a side of vanilla ice cream.

The restaurant itself is situated within the O'Fournier estate and has a nice view of a man-made lake. The waiters/waitresses are very attentive and friendly. There was a group of about 10 people at the table next to us and, as we were leaving, one of them came over and introduced himself as the owner of O'Fournier. Apparently he has lunch there every Sunday (the day we went). He was a very nice gentleman and it was an honor to have met him.

Urbano is a must-visit for any food/wine enthusiast coming to Mendoza!

“Great lunch & modern winery”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

Huge, exellent lunch. Solid wine tasting at the mid-price level. One of the most technical, innovative wineries I have ever visited, and a tour hosted by the owner himself.
High on my list of recommended winery lunches.

“Gorgeous culinary creations!!”
Reviewed 26 January 2014 via mobile

What a meal! We had reservations for a late lunch (3pm) and were there all alone for the amazing 6 course luncheon paired with wines. Floor to ceiling glass .... such a beautiful view of the Andes reflected in the water surrounding the restaurant. It's a little out of the way but well worth the trip. Don't miss this place!!!

“Theatrical winery, excellent wine”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

The winery is spectacularly theatrical, even though it would have been nice to be led by somebody more involved in wine making. The dining room, absolutely stunning, with incredible views of the vineyards and the snowy mountains as a background. They serve you four or five dishes or pasos; the first one, a very generic foam creation (high time chefs turned to other techniques, in my humble opinion) but things got progressively better, culinary wise. And the wine, excellent, compensated for the somewhat timid food. We enjoyed ourselves very, very much.

“Beautiful Food”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Myself and my wife had an unbelievable dining experience at this restaurant. The presentation and food quality was second to none. The attentive staff made sure our glasses were always filled with different tastings and the following courses were never far away. It was well worth the drive from Mendoza ( approx. 2 hours )
