“The apartment with concierge services.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

I spent one month in this apartment and enjoyed my life in Mendoza. I played tennis almost every day and also enjoyed kayaking in the lake, horse riding in the mountain, winery visits and so on. All these activities were arranged by the staffs of apartment. Their services included information on location of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and hot news of a local jazz concert and Picasso paintings exhibition.
When I was invited to a party, I asked them where to buy flowers to take with me for the party and they advised me several sores. The flowers I bought at the store they recommended were very nice and well appreciated by the host of party.
In addition, they provided me with room clean up services and coffee and tea services, all free, as well as laundry services at costs.
I have not been in Argentina (I came into Mendoza from Santiago, Chile by bus) and could not speak Spanish at all. I appreciate very much for their patience to help me out while I stayed there. I will never forget this.

The Modigliani Apartments are an excellent place to stay when visiting Mendoza for many many reasons, the following are some of the most important ones:
• They are in a central location that is just a stroll away from many key sites
• The apartments are beautifully designed
• The staff will do anything to make your trip as good as it possibly can be
• The price is very reasonable.

The final point is the one that impressed us the most. On arrival we were all set to spend a few hours investigating exactly how we wanted to spend our days in Mendoza and what our itinerary would be. We were delighted to learn that we did not have to waste any time on figuring out what to do as on check in, Gaston and Martin brought us through all the attractions on offer in Mendoza. They then spent quite a bit of time helping us to plan our days to suit our particular tastes – Gaston even helped plan and book a personalised and amazing wine tour for us!

We owe Gaston a special and incredibly huge “Thank You” as he sacrificed his Saturday night to come with us to three different hospitals in Mendoza. I had a spider bite on my neck that was getting increasingly nasty and Gaston stayed with us to make sure we saw the right people, got the right tests and understood exactly what was going on. He truly went above and beyond the call of duty and we are so grateful.

We wish we could go back again – we had such an amazing stay.

Thanks to everyone at the Modigliani Suites,
We’ll hopefully see you in Mendoza again,

Sheena & Sean.

After the long bus ride from Vina del Mar, we arrived in Mendoza at the Modigliani Art & Design Suites. Gaston was there and he was wonderful. Very friendly, very helpful, explained everything to us. Provided a map of Mendoza and marked his recommendations on them. Relative easy to find. Went to the room and showed us the features. We opted for the balcony facing the street. Unfortunately, that week (Jan 20) was one of the hottest in the last 53 years. One day it got to 40C with some humidity so sitting outside wasn't the best. No matter, the suite was nicely equipped. Slightly smaller bathroom but still fine. The air conditioning would work well in temperatures in the mid to low 30s but struggled at 35 - 40C to keep the room cool. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the room. Gaston made some wonderful recommendations for restaurants and even arranged a fantastic wine tour. I would stay again. The location is great near the Plaza Independencia. The staff make this place. Note that there is no breakfast with the hotel room but we found a small coffee place (lots of them around) with wonderful coffee, half a block away. Also note that we got a decent rate of around 90 US. The Sheraton, which is just down the road from this hotel, had a rate around $105 US which for the difference in price on really hot days like we got might have been worth the small differential for more efficient air-conditioning.

Room Tip: The balcony is great but only if the temperature is a bit cooler than 40C.

We were allowed to check-in early and were greeted by the VERY friendly and helpful staff. They gave us a ton of information and a map and it was really nice.

Our room was quirky but in a good way. We had a small balcony that was nice to check the weather from.

Our three issues were: 1) Thin walls - we could hear people talking on their cell phones in other rooms and people walking above us which we thought was weird for a hotel/apartments. 2) They use "hipster" old style keys that are hard to get used to. We had trouble entering and exiting our apartment to the point of frustration on a few occasions. 3) A/C was in the living room and because of the odd shape of the room the cool air didn't make it to the bedroom quickly. We were in Mendoza during some very hot weather so I suspect this would not be an issue most of the year, but did bother us.

Overall - definitely a fine place that you won't regret staying at, but our two issues resulted in us giving in an average rating.

The nice and well equipped apartments are centrally located, at walking distance from supermarket and bakery's. Parking (paying) is available around the corner. Staff has been extremely helpful in providing information and has helped us planning our trips in the region.

After 10 months working in Mendoza and changing various apartments, the final stay for us was at Modigliani Suites. Not only is it a lovely (aesthetically speaking), modern, clean place, but it is also impeccably run. I stayed over New Year's & Christmas and the the owner was always ready to help, and the capable cleaning crew and staff happy to run this wonderful hotel-apartment. The location for us was also superb. You are right downtown but just a few blocks from the hubbub and noise -- an easy walk to every shop, cafe and restaurant imaginable. I would return here on any trip to Mendoza!

This was quite a different experience. This property is part hotel, part apartment. The room we rented was clean and functional. It has a tight little kitchen which may not be gourmet-class but is very functional for travelers like us.We made breakfast every day. It is very conveniently located near the city center, so everything was within walking distance. And the staff - Martin (owner), Gaston and Marcello - are world-class. They are there to support all the residents to ensure their stay is enjoyable and trouble-free. They were just incredible. Our stay was wonderful in a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Pay the extra amount to rent the room facing the main road on the 3rd floor. It seems larger in area...
