I´d booked a room at the Villaggio based on a friend´s recommendation, but after reading some negative reviews on trip advisor i started second guessing my choice, i finally decided to give the hotel a chance! Good thing i did, because i had an amazing time at the hotel! We arrived at the hotel and at first sight we could tell the hotel was very modern and confortable! The hotel staff was very friendly and kind, without being overbearing! Kudos to Alana and Atilio, who made us feel welcome everytime we entered the hotel and went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful!
The spa is a plus!!! We spent our last afternoon relaxing on the hot tub drinking some wine and enjoying the view, just make sure you book in advance!
The hotel was beyond what we expected!

First of all, I would like to say that overall, the hotel was in a great location and the main hotel looked really nice. The staff was also very helpful, spoke English and were very attentive and cooperative. I really don't have any problems with the hotel. The gym had a universal cable machine and a brand new treadmill and elliptical machine. There is also a spa in the work out area and I assume you have to make arrangements for a treatment. The breakfast was nice and had a large selection of food, though you were probably better off grabbing food early as the pickings were scarce later in the morning and often times the heaters keeping the eggs cold would go out leaving the food slightly cold.

The only issue we had with the hotel was that we were staying in the annex of the hotel. Apparently the main hotel is new and renovated, but the hotel also bought two apartments next to the main hotel. These apartments, though isolated and away from everyone and a great bargain for the price, are not at the same standard of the larger hotel. The hotel is on a busy street and the windows in the apartment were not sound proof at all. Many times I had to make sure they weren't in fact open since the street noise was so loud. The bathroom is very dated and cramped. We did have a slight problem with hot water at first, but maintenance took care of it right away. The apartment in general needed some sprucing up. A paint job and maybe cleaning up the kitchen and renovating the bathroom would be a nice touch.

Again, the service and the people more than made up for the less than great apartments. I think our experience with the rooms might have been slightly better if we had the regular rooms as opposed to the apartments. I would consider staying there again but only in the main hotel, or in the apartments if they renovate them.

Room Tip: Do not stay in the apartments until they get renovated or at least until they put sound proof glass...

Thank you for reiew !!! As you mention Our Premium location, our facilities and our staff are part of our Identity and Pride, and one of the reasons why the Villaggio is a great choice for a Stay in Mendoza, providing Value for Money, and being recommended by over 90% of the travellers. Yet, we are constantly working on enhancing our facilities and services. You are right about the aparments needing to be updated, and this has already been included in our upcoming maintenance and renovation plans

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of our employees.

At the Villagio Hotel, we value the passengers' feedback, and take it into account to make improvements and continue to provide excellent customer service.

This is my favorite place to stay while in Mendoza. Never had a negative experience, the breakfast is great, and the location is perfect. More reasonably priced than the Hyatt or Sheraton nearby.

Room Tip: The "apartment" style room on the side of the property are not nearly as nice as the rest.

Stayed here for 3 nights in a superior room. Room very comfortable, nice timber floors, desk area, quiet and plenty of space. There was a good sized, well stocked bar fridge and a 12 bottle wine storage fridge plus with a total of 18 bottles of wine. The prices for the wine was not too bad for a hotel and the wine books in the room were very interesting.
Breakfast was good athough some things on the buffet took a while to replace/refill. We found the location very good with the Plaza Independencia only 100 metres away and several good restaurants, bars and cafes within 5 - 10 minutes walk. The front desk staff were very good with assistance and were prompt with a 4:00am wake up call and taxi booking.
We loved this part of Mendoza and the surrounding wine regions and would have happily stayed at Villagio Hotel Boutique for another week if we could have.

Room Tip: The superior room seemed to have a lot more space than standard for not much extra cost.

After reading all the reviews I wasn't surprised to find this an average hotel. I agree with many of the comments regarding the property needing a facelift or even a coat of paint. I did notice the somewhat foul smell coming from the bathroom but I also found this at other locations in Mendoza (restaurants, wineries, etc) so I think it might be something in the water. The breakfast was great as was the top floor fitness center. It rarely had anyone up there and the facilities were newer and well maintained. This is a central location with access to many great restaurants and shops.

At the Villagio Hotel Boutique, we appreciate our guest´s feedback, and take it into account to make improvements and continue to provide excellent customer service.

Being on the top ten hotel´s in Trip Advisor for Mendoza is a result of our dedicated service, our great location and the value for money that our guests receive.

You are right about the facelift, and this has already been included in our upcoming maintenance and renovation plans. Last month we paint all the hotel including the front , carpet at the hall’s has already being changed , our Spa as you mentioned is renewed with a new Jacuzzi , wet sauna , dry sauna , Scottish shower and an excellent exercise machines. Yet we are working to improve our facilities.

I hope you can enjoy it on your next visit to Mendoza

Sincerely,

This hotel is located a little bit outside the busiest walking- and restaurant streets, close to Ampora Wine Tours, which was convenient for my part. The room are of standard + size. There is a small lobby with some computers for free use. Breakfast was OK, but no more than that. My main reason for choosing this hotel instead of many others in Mendoza was their "all inclusive" offer at dhr.com (Met Global). I was therefore not too happy when the reception person told me that the only thing they served at the hotel was breakfast. I do not who is to blame; the hotel or dhr.com, but felt cheated on anyway!

While the feedback from our guests is appreciated and taken into consideration as it helps us identify opportunities for improvement, we believe that your comments are subjective and based on Met Global wrong information, witch is an On line travel Agencies that is no longer working with since last year .The Villagio does not mislead the passengers on the Web page our in On Line Travel Agencies in any way. The best Example you can find in EXPIDIA, BOOKING.COM, SPLENDIA who works very well with us and we do have excellent reviews. If our guest enters our website, in service site you can find all the information you need and description of our services and facilities.
We are very sorry to hear that you where not happy with us. As the General Manager of the Villagio, of course I defend my Hotel when I reply to negative comments or reviews. I also ask our employees for references and feedback on any issues that our guest mention on trip advisor or in person because there are cases in which people are too picky or expect too much of a 3 star hotel.
I trust you will take my comments well, and I hope you give Villagio Hotel Boutique a second try if you come to Mendoza again.
Sincerely,

MR

The Villagio is an excellent hotel in an excellent location in Mendoza. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The rooms were spacious and clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you like the smaller boutique hotels instead of the larger chain hotels.

Room Tip: Try to stay in the back of the hotel. We were in the front where you could hear the street noise but...
