Do yourself a favor and book a wine tour with Trout and Wine. I did the Lujan de Cuyo tour as a solo traveler and ended up having the best day with the other family who came along. I also owe a huge thanks to Charlie; he helped me make the reservation over email at 10:00 p.m. the night before! I should have planned further in advance, but it also seems rare that other tours do single reservations. The wineries on the tour all offered excellent but diverse experiences, the guide was welcoming and knowledgeable, and the lunch was absolutely spectacular. The day with Trout and Wine was the highlight of my entire trip to Argentina. Thank you!

I highly recommend this tour. The pickup from our hotel was very punctual, comfortable van, our guide Julieta was very knowledgeable, friendly and gracious. The selection of wineries was excellent as they each had something special about them. The highlight of the trip was the wine pairing lunch at Finca Agostino, I am writing a separate review about that.
My husband had actually taken this tour by himself while he was here on business a few months ago and liked it so much we booked the exact same tour together and he enjoyed it just as much as his first time.

Very professional company, great communication and well thought out winery locations. Our guide and drivers were both very professional and we tasted some incredible wine, with a nice variety in the places we visited as well. Highly recommend you do day with them as well! Couldn’t imagine a better tour.

We did two day-long trips with Trout and Wine. The first was their gourmet tour to Lujan de Cuyo. We visited 4 spectacular vineyards and at each, tasted superb wines. At the 3rd of 4, we had a fabulous 5 course meal with wine pairings. The chef came out to discuss the dishes we were having. Our guide for the day was as friendly yet professional and knowledgeable as could be. She even checked, in advance, if any of us had food allergies or dislikes and conveyed these to the chef. The vehicle we were in was extremely well maintained and comfortable All around, a simply fantastic day

The second trip we took was the day-trip into The Andes-the destination being Acongogua mountain, the highest peak in all the Americas. We were particularly lucky that Charley O’Malley, owner of the company, turned out to be our driver/guide and companion for the long day. He helped make the scenery we passed through come alive. He has lived in South America for almost two decades and his knowledge of the land, the country and the people is vast. We couldn’t have asked for more
