“Large room but kind of boring, everything is just white.”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

The rooms are large but empty. Also on the floor you noticed that some one had some problems with some red wine. The shower is good, wifi is good and breakfast is just good. Even when you arrive late in the morning. The English spoken isn't that good but they are really helpfull. I did like the outdoor space, just to eat something in the sun, next to the swimming pool. You are close to the main sqaire and in walking distance of the boulevard next to the river. I must admit Posadas is just a working citi and not really for tourist. I did not realize you are only a few meters away from Paraquay.

Room Tip: try a room on the back, I had a room located in the main street and you can really hear the traffic.

I stayed at this hotel in October 2011. At that time the hotel was really new, it has been opened only a few months before. The quality of the materials (carpets, bed, furniture, bathroom, multimedia) was superb. Even when Posadas is not a touristic city (is ok but not meant specifically as a touristic destination), this hotel made our days in the city a really pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a non smoking and be adamant if this is your choice.

Posadas is not a tourism destination and the hospitality sector has not been developed. That being said, Posadas Urbano is the best (and really only decent) place to stay in town. It does cater to business travelers and is a bit pricey for what you get. However, everything was in working order and the staff were friendly and mostly helpful even if their English was quite lacking (again, very few tourists come through Posadas).
The shower was excellent, beds very comfortable, room was enormous-compared to other S. America hotels, the windows were large with River in the distance and the breakfast was very filling with a variety of offerings. Even tried mate in packet form! There really isn't any other hotel competition in Posadas, so kudos to Urbano for going above and beyond by offering classy, modern, above average accommodations.

The hotel has potential but is poorly managed. They have stained bedspreads and carpets, the towels are also stained and far from new. There sre no toiletries acailable. there was barely enough soap in the bathroom. Personnel has poor training in the care of hotel guests.
Food in the snack bar is reasonable. Breakfast could be better but is not the worst part of hotel's service. We did not use the pool so we have no comments

Not many tourists visit Posadas so this hotel caters mostly to local businessmen. But it has many qualities: its central location close to the main plaza (5-min walk to Cavas Resto & Wine - #1 in Tripadvisor as of March 2013), its lovely breakfast (unlimited dulce de leche), and its super-friendly service by some English-speaking staff. Because we booked an evening flight to BA, the hotel even let us use the fitness to take a shower after checking out.

Any disappointment? The rooms, though relatively large, are nondescript (no decor whatsoever). Maybe one painting or two will help.

Enjoyable stay. Good breakfast. Clean and modern rooms with great wi-fi and great lighting. Good base for visiting San Ignacio Mini Jesuit Ruins. Close to restaurants and shopping though there's not a lot to do in Posadas itself.

Was a guest in this hotel twice already, first time everything was great (except breakfast that does not have many options and if something is over they just put it back if you order).. Second time a nightmare -1st time we went by car - it was mention that they have a garage but indeed the garage is not theirs and we were threated like thieves on this garage, we tried to park in front of the hotel but one employee told us it was no allowed (although some cars were parked there the entire time we remain in the hotel), as we had problems on garage we called the hotel attendence -since was the hotel that indicated the garage - and they could not solve anything as they mention there is no manager during the nightshift (how come that??). Ok so we left first thing in the morning... Price is higher than other hotels in the area and service worst.

Also our sheets were stained, not really pleasant.
