The only thing that was positive about this hostel is the price (200 pesos for a double room).

Now the bad things:
- the staff could not smile, was not willing to give advise, they could not speak a single word english. Without spanish you are basically screwed.
- the bed smells like fungus and other stuff you don't want to smell when you are trying to sleep
- the promised "great breakfast" is basically cold white rice, egg and sausage, which your dog wouldn't even eat. Also, the breakfast until 9 o'clock could also be until 8, depending on others.
- the pool is possibly more pee than water.
- the girl behind the desk looks suicidal and would not speak with you.
- there is not a place where you can store your backpack if you have checked out.
- the wifi is crappy
- the shower was not working properly, sometimes almost boiling water out of nowhere

Conclusion: low price, no quality

Do not be fooled by the pictures on the website, this place was so gross in every way. My girlfriend and I shared a double room with a private bathroom and we would not even touch the covers. the pillows smelled so bad like dirty heads that we had to stuff them under the bed to hide the smell and use our backpacks as pillows. The private bathroom was like a prison cell situation. And the "awesome breakfast" we heard about was sliced up hotdogs in lukewarm ketchup. I am pretty forgiving when it comes to cheap hostels, but this place was beyond gross.

we stayed in this hostel recently and regretted every minute of it. it is expensive, dirty, still under construction and the rooms and foremost the bathrooms are very run down (and the water of the shower was either boiling hot or extremely cold). our bed and the matress was old and filthy and occupied bed bugs...loads of them... we didn't get any breakfast because we were 5 minutes late and when we arrived at the buffet the staff took the food and plates away without any comment. very inpolite! just don't go there!!!!

So apart from the rather gross rooms, we were appalled by what happened when we arrived. We said we'd stay for two nights and they willingly took our cash and made us sign some declaration. As soon as we had done that, they informed us that the falls were closed on the Argentinian side but open on the Brazilian side. So we said we'd like to amend our booking and stay just one night, and go to Brazil a day earlier than planned. They absolutely refused to let us do this, saying we'd signed an agreement.

As with every hostel, I am sure double rooms are way more comfortable than shared 10 bed rooms. We stayed in a 10 bed room and luckily everyone was very respectful but I never got my sheets replaced but by then I had become quite the hardcore traveller and got used to things like these but I feel they're still worth a mention. The breakfast was not bad at all and you can also cook but there were times when the oven didn't work properly. There's also this rule to buy everything from the bar but no one tells you until you get your own beer and you're told off. The location is super close to the bus station so after a long bus ride you'll appreciate it and, more importantly, you'll find it useful when you need to get to Iguazu Falls. One last thing, the picture they've got advertised is not the real place. Back in January it was under construction but there was absolutely nothing that looked like a wooden cabin, it's bricks all over.

I had booked this hostel through hostelworld and was disgusted when I arrived. Outside is like a building site. Unfortunately I made the mistake of paying for the full night before seeing the rooms- the dorm had a glass door in to it that was all smashed and the door handle was falling off. There were bunk beds squashed against one another in a room full of mould all over the walls and ceilings. There were chunks out of the walls and doors. There were no lockers for luggage either. I took one look at the bathroom and decided I definitely could not stay there even for the one night! So I found the nearest decent hostel to it and booked in there for the night. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE

Dirty sheets (hair and dirt!!!), dirty swimming pool (leafs, plastic cup, cloudy water), broken tiles, ugly entrance (nothing to do with the main picture with a pretty wood cabin - no idea where that is! - I am attaching a picture of an actual entrance), dirty old kitchen.

So why am I giving it two stars?
Good location (5 minutes from bus terminal, 2 from a cab station), the staff treated us nice (let us keep bags in a room till 4:00pm) and the caipirina in their bar was great!

Tip: If you are going to Iguazu falls and are at least 3 person, take a cab, it's better and cheaper than bus. We paid 70 pesos (one way) thought the "official" price is 100.
